Lodgings in Kami-ichi

Excellent location and plenty of space. Easy to find and atmospheric neighborhood. Host was responsive and helpful. Scenery in the area is beautiful.

Had the whole house. Very helpful host. Loved it!

Beautiful setting at an authentic Buddhist temple, felt very privileged to have been there and taken part in the morning prayers

Hisa-san was an awesome host at boshcetto. I only stayed a single night but next time I will stay at least 2 or 3 nights. This accomodation is in a very quiet location but still only a short walk to the local Lawson and other stores. The shared kitchen's accessibility was my favourite part - with everything labelled for guests, I had no problem cooking my own dinner with the utensils provided. 10/10 👍🇯🇵

The location was great. I was carrying a large suitcase from the train station, and there was some uphill terrain getting to the ryokan, but it wasn’t super far, and once was there I was able to store my suitcase in the shed using the padlock code that they shared with me in the pre check in email. That allowed me to walk around and explore for a few hours while I waited for the 4pm check in time. I loved the quiet and peaceful property which was a perfect place to rest during my travels. The bath was also perfect. It’s a shared bath but there were only a few other guests, and I got to use it first. The woman running the property asked me to take only about 15 minutes in the bath, which I probably went a few minutes over because it was so wonderful. Later she brought me a little dessert and was very sweet. I slept perfectly. I loved this experience.

How does one describe perfection in the way of writing? This will be a long review, but Yoshinosou Yukawaya deserves it. My communication with Young Master Yamamoto-san, the proprietor of the ryokan, began 6 months in advance when I made the booking. He was prompt, courteous, and extremely professional with his replies. Our face to face meeting only solidified that he runs an extremely professional, immaculate establishment. The room exceeded any expectations we had. Yes, it was expensive, and here I will be honest in saying that the price matched the delivery. Comfy beds, gleaming tables and please do not get me started on the views. To be given our own personal outdoor bath overlooking the mountain range with the autumn foliage, will be a memory I cherish until I am no longer of this world. Dinner was a full-fledged Japanese dinner course. What's sublime about the ryokan is, it does not pretend to be something it isn't. The food served reflects the geography of the place. One of the highlights was the sushi that was wrapped in the persimmon leaves, and also the layered dried persimmon with butter. Persimmon trees are scattered across Yoshino-yama and it carries through in the food they serve. We had a good time giggling with the hotel staffs who were serving us; as they took sweet amusement at seeing us gush over the meals that were being served. It was an exquisite yet humbling experience - to be able to experience something so far removed from my own culture. The staff members were kind, accommodating and extremely helpful when we had questions about the place. Not once did we feel unwelcome, and it was truly the highlight of my trip to Japan. My friend and I both agree that if we do come to Japan in the future, Yoshinosou Yukawaya is definitely a place worth visiting again. How amazing that just single night's stay in this establishment could etch into my mind a memory that is unforgettable.

very kind, warm and welcoming staff! very cozy and serene place to stay, highly recommend!

Traditional house is very interesting. Japanese style beds were quite comfortable. Kitchen was extremely well appointed. Bathrooms and showers easily accessible and had necessary toiletries. Staff was really kind. One staff even drove in the car with me to show me where to find their parking spaces. The host was super in letting us change dates on a non-cancelable reservation. Thank you!

Great host, super clean and very ample

This house is a real japonese house. There are a lot of stuff if you want to cook. We have a very bad weather during our 1 day stay : so we really appreciate the confort of this house. There also many gift offer by owner. Thank you Takami and your mum for this warm welcome.

We loved having the whole place to ourselves, including a kitchen. The views in autumn were breathtaking. And we really enjoyed the sauna as well.

Super clean, very comfortable, exceptional design. The sauna and bath were amazing.

The innkeeper went the extra mile to make our stay a memorable experience. The breakfast that he prepared every morning featured fresh, local ingredients. The location is excellent for exploring the Naka-senbon area, which also provides a convenient base from which to to access the lower and upper senbon areas easily. The Muji decor of each room transports you to a Muji showroom, but with blooming sakura outside your window!

Kitchen equipped with tools were very helpful as no nearby restaurants open in the evening. Proximity to Kongobuji is exceptional. The host is also very kind.

The staff are EXCEPTIONAL, we were amazed, really. The room is big and so CLEAN, the view is amazing. The highlight of our trip.

Beautiful area. Very kind staff. Tasty meals.

Super convenient, wish we could stay longer, next time will bring grocery to cook good meals for us. Lawson is only five minutes away. Great location! Sauna is a wonderful surprise!
