Big rooms in Japan! Across the street from the bus stop to Amanohashidate (it's a couple of kilometers away)
Everything is good, much better than expected!
Loving every single of it! Got to experience traditional stay of Ryokan. Will definitely come back!
This was extraordinary! After 2 weeks of traveling Japan with our two kids and stopping at hotels, this house was our opportunity to get embedded into "real" Japanese life - doing groceries, some cooking, etc. We loved the experience, and the house is just fabulous - spacious, beautiful, with all infrastructure you need. We can highly recommend this place for families!
Environment and location and price
The food, kind and accommodating staff, how close it was to the station, it has an elevator, close to all attractions
The property is clean and spacious.
Facilities and value for money
Warm welcome, incredibly cozy room, good location. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Everything was great.
We took room with traditional Japanese beds (sleep on the floor) and this was the best sleep we had through our 3 weeks trip in Japan. Breakfast and Dinner buffet was amazing and alcohol was included.
Beautiful rooms, super clean w/ comfortable beds, great little breakfast and fabulous sauna room!
It was beautiful and serene. Lovely amenities. The food was outstanding. Great location.
The breakfast and dinner was amazing and intricate with unique flavours. Our host made a lot of effort to explain the food to us in English. The room (seaview was exceptional) was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Service (including check in and check out) was like a performance art. Onsen was pretty and you can see both if you time things right.
I love the onsen! It also near the chair lift, the templen and the path to north and south side.
Clean, luxurious, and sizable rooms with comfortable furnishings; private onsen on balcony; seperate toilet and shower; amazing food; extremely friendly, courteous, and respectful staff. Definitely coming back!!
My husband declared our room at Taikourou the nicest we had in Japan. It was comfortable , in traditional style ( but with mattresses on raised platforms) , filled with light and fresh air , with a wonderful view of the park and swing bridge. Having a couple of comfortable chairs to sit and take in the view was wonderful. Dinners at this ryokan were wonderful and used seasonal ingredients. We love the experience of these traditional meals. There was also a lovely onsen - small but then I did have it to myself so no problem. I can’t end this review without mentioning the staff who were so kind and helpful. There was one woman in particular who went out of her way to help us understand the meals, ensured we had everything we needed and just generally she was so positive in our interactions.
Place is very comfortable and super clean. It is in a quiet area so we have a good night sleep. It has free parking and washing machine. Highly recommend if you come to this town.
Great location. Few minutes walk to the chair lift/monorail station to view Amanohashidate sand bar. Property is fully equipped with good kitchen, washer/dryer and also located next to river and can see the draw bridge open/close to allow boats thru.
Loved everything. I’m not used to sleeping on the floor but it was still pretty comfortable
I stayed here with 3 other friends because we wanted a private room instead of staying at a hostel, and it was the perfect amount of space for us. We enjoyed playing cards and lounging on the tatami "living" room area (It was two planks with tatami flooring that we could sit on). It was also super clean and when I had trouble with self check-in on the iPad the host was super quick to respond. It was also a little bit away from Amanohashidate, so a quieter area!!
