Quiet location. Walking distance to subway and major attractions and Family Mart and a few restaurants. Booked 5 months in advance so we got an excellent price.

Quite large room, very comfortable beds and a nice bathtub in traditional style. Like in other Japanese accommodations, every space is carefully used and at the end the apartment result to be complete of everything.
Careful cleaning service provided, upon request.
The position is good enough, some of the city’s main attractions are at a reasonable walking distance. Many restaurants in the surrounding.

Spacious family room with everything you need. walking distance to the center of Kyoto with a quiet neighborhood. On 1F we even have a shared little garden. Super happy with this apartment hotel. Will come back again for our next Kyoto trip.

The accommodation is clean, comfy and has everything you might need. It is situated in the walking distance to all the major tourist sights but hidden in a quiet side alley.
The owners are super friendly and they give you all kinds of tips on where to eat, what places are worth a while, how to get there, heads up on ongoing events and much more.
It can’t compare to a normal hotel. It’s better in every way. I would love to come back if I get a chance.

Great value apartment a short walk from Kyoto Station. Room and hotel were very modern and clean. Good sized apartment as we booked a larger sized King Superior and a Twin Room. Recommend the larger room as quite spacious. Had laundry room on separate floor. Quite a few dining options at Kyoto Station and nearby.

Marufukuro was by far my favourite accommodation in Japan from its location, closeness to transport options and attractions, hotel vibe, the way it has been decorated, staff, facilities, breakfast, bars & guest experiences. We met so many friendly interesting people staying there which just added to our great experience. We will definately be back to stay here.

The location is nice that is just 10 min walk to Kyoto station. To eat here at late night would require bit longer walk but still good. Hotel itself is great in spacious room size and facilities are new. The bed is great to sleep on and no strange smell at all.

This was a super clean and comfortable hotel, the beds were lovely to sleep in. Not too far from the centre, it was easy to catch buses around rather than walk though. The hotel had great facilities, we made good use of the gym! Good sized room too, we managed to fit 3 luggages in the room and not feel cramped :)

Very comfortable rooms and wonderful bathroom with separate toilet, the first and only of our Japan holiday accommodations. Appreciated the small seating area in room. Short walk to Kyoto station and lots of nearby dining options.

It was a pleasant stay. There were many amenities, like fridge in the room or kettle. If you needed something you could always ask at the front desk, for example extra towel or sleepers. The room was big enough for one person. Bed was comfy. Overall I recommend this hotel.

The hotel was very nice, we had an apartment which ended up being in a separate building. The space was more than generous. We had all the amenities we needed and we were close to public transport and to a very nice bookstore, two museums and a couple of nice cafes.

The house is clean and nicely decorated with cuttlery, plates, and other utensils if you want to eat inside.i loved the japanese garden. We have been sleeping on mattresses laid on the floor in three different ryokans. This is definitely the accommodation with the best "beds".

Our favourite accommodation from our Japan trip! Incredibly clean and spacious. Usually a fussy sleeper but slept like a baby every night on their super comfy beds! Staff were always friendly and helpful with all requests. Great quiet location near Shijo area with nearby konibinis and laundromat seconds away. Had to book a second time on the last leg of our Kyoto trip because of how conveniently great it was. Would happily have stayed here for our whole trip if we could!

Large modern apartment-like accommodation, a very nice view, and a washer/dryer for laundry. The staff were lovely and accomodating. Even though they were unfamiliar with vegetarianism we really appreciate their open minds.

My kids like the homely feel of the apartment hotel. Basic amenities provided but do bring your own moisturiser/lotion.
Nice to be able to do some laundry as there is a washing machine and detergent powder provided inside your room. You can dry your clothes with hangers provided.

The room size is very large by Japanese standards, an apartment rather than a hotel room. We loved the Japanese style bedding - with an active 1yr old the floor beds took a lot of stress out of our stay. Everything was exceptionally clean, the location in the heart of old Gion was amazing, a part of Kyoto we hadn't explored before.

Hotel in a good location, a short walk from the bus stops and the metro/train stations. Many shops and restaurants nearby. The room was clean and bright. Quite big single beds, wide enough to sleep comfortably. Our room faced the road, but the street noise wasn't very disturbing. Good cosmetics in the bathroom and a nice deep bathtub. Japanese breakfast was delicious. Very kind and helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
