Lodgings in Uji

cleaniest hostel that i ever been. nice property and good room. had a very good stay

Good location. The staff are accommodating and helpful

The staff was super kind and welcoming. Not to mention the location was fantastic! The room was nice, it had everything you needed

This rental house felt just like home! We had the entire house to ourselves, and our daughter really enjoyed the toys and books that were in the house. There is a huge collection of toys, board games, and Japanese children's books, including picture books and manga. Very comfortable and felt like we were right at home. Clean, well kept, with plenty of utensils, and clear instructions (in both Japanese and English) posted everywhere on how to operate electrical appliances and heaters.

Located very close to the main tourist street in Uji, and a lot of the main attractions are close by too, such as the bridge and shrines. Extremely worth for the price. Shower is quite small, but it gets the job done. There is a fridge, water cooler and clothes rack in the room, plus a locker to store your luggage in. The owner is extremely friendly and likes collecting coins from foreign countries! If you come from overseas i would encourage bringing some to help out his collection!

I love the area! It's so quiet and within walking distance from anything you need. City bus is close by or you can use Go Taxi. The canal and the sake museums are within 15 min walk. Such a beautiful area. The house was very clean and really had a charming feel to it. Very 'slice of life' and authentic Kyoto!

I had an incredible experience at this guest house in Kyoto. Its proximity to the station and the array of nearby shops made it incredibly convenient. The neighborhood, with its friendly atmosphere and stunning river view, added to the charm of the stay. The highlight was undoubtedly the attached onsen at the back of the guest house. After a day of exploring Japan with heavy suitcases, soaking in the onsen was pure bliss. It completely rejuvenated me, relieving all the soreness I had accumulated. The Tatami room was beautifully traditional, providing an authentic Kyoto experience. Plus, the addition of a washing machine was a lifesaver, allowing me to do some laundry during my stay. Other amenities like the TV for Japanese television and the freezer for keeping Combini ice cream were thoughtful touches that enhanced the overall experience. Despite being a 20-minute ride from Kyoto Station, the value for money and the experience of having an entire renovated traditional Japanese home to myself made it worth it. I would definitely choose to stay here again without hesitation. Overall, a perfect 10/10 rating for this fantastic guest house.

Hosts were awesome, early check-in was no problem, door code made staying there very easy if we wanted to split up during the day. Beautiful home. Location is perfect close to trains stations, plenty of close eateries, and a peaceful little yard to relax in after exploring all day

Beautiful traditional japanese home, extremely well kept and accommodating for four people. the staff was very nice even tho we were late for check out

The whole experience was seamless. Starting from Private car pick up at the train station to recommended activities. The staff were very attentive and professional. The hotel decor provided a calm atmosphere a result of attention to detail in architectural and interior design. The restaurant was not open but the staff arranged for a traditional Japanese breakfast on site. It was perfect and tailored to account for my food allergies. Many thoughtful quality amenities. In room beverages were above standard. The hotel met and exceeded my expectations. We had a very peaceful relaxing stay for our 32nd wedding anniversary. Although right next to the train station (which was very convenient for travel), you could not hear the train in our room. It was nice waking up to the sound of birds on the cherry tree in our private courtyard. My first experience at an Onsen was pleasant because the hotel offered private time slots for bathing. The cooling room was magical especially at night. You can see stars on a clear night. The Kangetsudo Art Gallery on site provided a virtual reality meditation experience which was unique. I look forward to returning to Japan and Momoyama Onsen Tsukimikan.

It's a brand new hotel. The stuff were amazing. Breakfast is really good for this place. Facilities were super clean. Everything was super clean. I just love this place. I'll definitely be there again and I take a lot of hotels in Kyoto

Location from the closest was great and not far from the Fushimi Inari Tanisha, which is especially great if you want to visit at night or early morning to avoid the crowds. Overall area was pretty quiet and the was a retro game shop across the street.

It was a 15 minutes walk from Takeda Station. It wasn't a bad walk at all. There are convenience stores nearby the hotel. We enjoyed the entire stay! The room is very big and very clean. After all day sightseeing, a massage chair and jet bath were great. We were very surprised how the food they served us was so good. You should order room service to enjoy delicious meals and reasonable prices. We will stay again when we are in Kyoto.

The staff was sooooo helpful and polite, made me feel at home. Super good on location, quiet zone but subway 1 block away and 3 min away from kyoto station...super cheap for the value. Comfortable and cozy. Super recommende

i liked the amability, the tydiness and the delicious breakfast

The spa and sauna was superb! The breakfast was delicious and we really like japanese dishes! The room was cozy. The location is close to kyoto. We had a blast and really enjoyed this vacation because of hotel sanraku! Also, you get voucher for saving on the room clean up which i get to use to buy more souvenirs!

The breakfast was lovely and it was a pleasure getting to talk with the chef and get recommendations of things to see in town. The building itself was full of history and traditional charm but it still had modern comforts. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Kyoto.

The house is absolutely beautiful and well equipped with everything you need (2 bathrooms, big kitchen area, quiet bedroom, big living room area). The location could not be more perfect - quiet neighborhood with good access to all the hotspots Kyoto has to offer. The highlight - however - are the hosts: They are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Their tips and support really helped us navigate our first days in Japan.
