Lodgings in Kyotango

It's no frills, please be respectful, clean, and pleasant atmosphere. The description seems a little unwelcoming, but the owners are friendly and nice. They want to run a relaxing hostel where people can sleep and stay in peace. They were concerned that one group of college students might have disturbed our rest, but the rooms are quite and set away from the kitchen, bathrooms, and common areas.

Beautiful and extremely clean property. The view to the sea is lovely especially in the morning with a coffee. Everything is brand new. Onsen is great! Parking is right next to the house. They left us home grown rice which we cant wait to try!!! Amazing place to stay. Highly recommend

We had an exceptional stay at this ryokan. The house is beautifully maintained and full of character, with lovely gardens that create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with beautiful views out to the garden. The onsen was excellent, with perfect temperature, good ventilation, and a thoughtful design that made it very enjoyable to use. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming throughout our stay, and gave us great local recommendations. We especially appreciated the warm and personal hospitality, which made the experience feel very special.

The birds at the entrance are always great to see. Rooms are old fashioned, Showa era style, which may not be everyone's style.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Yuhigaura, please look no more. This was an incredible onsen and the overall experience. The onsen baths were stunning with a sea view. The dinner and breakfast made by the host was unbelievably delicious. We were so full afterwards. She even gave us handmade gifts and a facemask AND gave us a lift to the station. The rooms were spacious, with a sea view and comfortable. You literally have everything you need. The host of this ryokan is incredible, thank you so much for your hospitality.

Good bed, big livemax rooms!! Electric bikes can be hired to drive to the beach!

Very nice hotel. Good parking, classy esthetic, friendly staff, comfy bed, clean.

We stay here for 1 night after our trip from Ine Fishing Village and Amano Hashidate.We had an excellent night the cottage is clean and the size of the room is perfectly fit for a family of 3.There is a lot of restaurant nearby though there is no nearby convenience store and local market.So I recommend buying anything you need before heading to the cottage. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great views and great walks along beach

The breakfast was very good and beautifully presented. The location is in the country so access to alternative restaurants is limited. However, the Guest House accommodated a request to be taken to a nearby town one evening for dinner.Ther

This was probably one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in Japan! The onsen was lovely, the service was wonderful, and the view from our room was unbelievable. Not to mention the delicious food (we paid for the breakfast) and the futons themselves were incredibly comfortable.

It was well located, everything was well thought out, Hamish was incredibly friendly and helpful. It was also a very peaceful and relaxing spot to spend a few days.

The whole house is so modern and well done. It would be cute in winter too. The drive here from Kyoto is also beautiful. We were also able to day trip to Ine and Amanohashidate from the house easily. I recommend this spot for families, couples or friends.

Customer service was wonderful, outstanding. Food was delicious and carefully curated. Beach and view was beautiful.

The owner prepared the excellent meals (breakfasts and dinners) for us. Each meals consist of four to six courses with freshly prepared with the local and seasonal ingredients. The linens and amenities are exceptional. The hotel is surrounded by the rich nature of wild birds, fishes and star gazing at night. The area has the old understated historical sites to stroll. Kumihama is not a topical tourist town in which provides relaxed and unassuming atmosphere, yet one can easily overlook its charm.
