We stayed for 3 nights 4 days and it was the best! A Little back story we were not supposed to stay in this hotel however the first hotel we stayed was not what we expected. My husband and I saw the reviews and rating for The funny Lion and said to ourselves lets give it a shot! Last minute we booked it and called them first thing in the morning. From the start, it was C-jay (reception) who helped us moved from our previous hotel to this hotel. Very smooth check-in, personalized welcome with the resort manager Mr Nilo. The welcome drink which my mother in law love so much was so refreshing and delicious! They also give us some tips how to make it! 🙂 everyone was so helpful, friendly, welcoming and go out of their way to help you. The rooms are spacious and modern. Breakfast buffet top notch! With nice swimming pool and a private beach. From the location and amenities its amazing but to be all honest its the people who worked here that makes it very special. Our family love this hotel and definitely recommended to everyone! Our whole hearted thanks to th following people that made our stay remarkable: Mr Nilo - hotel manager C-jay, Kemberly, Jessie, Jordan from reception Mr. Joel, Francis, Kuya Winston and Ann from F&B Kuya Edgar - Security Teng- our guide to Papaya beach Agustin from Housekeeping - made some adorable towel arts which i look forward everytime we’re back in our room. I’ve been traveling in el nido for two weeks now and love everything the place has to offer, starting my journey from the town area and then ending it in Nacpan Beach. Nacpan Beach Villas is brand new (staff explained they just opened beginning of October) and it couldn’t have been a better place to finish this trip. The Villas are literally 200 meters to the beach (see pictures) and the view and ambience is just spectacular. Breakfast is provided in the Sunmai restaurant besides the restaurant with standard local offerings. I would recommend staying here just on views alone, to get away from the noise and everything else and to relax and soak it all in. The staff greet you with big smiles and a selfie (this is true Filipino hospitality) and they were so helpful in explaining all the “where to go/what to dos”. Can’t wait to revisit this resort villa again in the future.

The staff, the rooms and the care during my entire stay truly made my trip! Unfortunately, I travelled during a time when terrible weather was expected (nothing anyone can control, it’s July, and knowing I was travelling during an off-peak season, I expected this to happen) and also experienced an injury on my first day (something I did NOT plan on experiencing, haha), and was pretty much stuck at the property during the entirety in my time at El Nido, I retreated mostly to my room. I gave a heads up to the staff days before that my flight and arrival at the accommodation would be earlier than expected, and they were gracious enough to have me wait in one of the rooms while my accommodation was getting ready. I commend the staff, from the front desk to the resto, to the staff from the spa, and everyone else in between for helping me out during my trip. From getting me a tricycle to the nearest hospital after hearing about my injury to assisting me over the little things despite the storm during my trip. I really felt the alaga/care and I appreciate everyone’s help and assurance during what would be such a stressful time for myself as I was travelling solo this time around. Buko Beach Resort really made it feel like home, from the beautiful rooms, and the hardworking people that make up the resort; they were the silver lining in my trip and I’m so thankful! I can’t wait to return with my family this time, when I’m physically able and when the sun’s out.

Beautiful location on a private island. We traveled as a family of four but it would be ideal for couples. Staff was fantastic and the accommodations (we had a 2 bedroom villa) were very clean.

This place gives you an awesome experience, the location could not be any better, you are just next to the top attractions of el nido, but at the same time, you are on a very private place. The hotel includes complementary tours that cover most of what you would do on El Nido, and they are very easy to be arranged and mixed with the other plans you might have. The hotel is very well maintained, clean, the stuff is very friendly. The buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner is very good, you get different type of foods every day, if you like seafood there will always be a lot of it fresh seafood too. The drinks are very good, and reasonable price. The snorkeling is a great experience, the snorkel kit they provide is good and you can spend many hours swimming around the hotel and finding great and unique fishes. It was a bit hard to plan my arrival, I suggest you contact the hotel at least 2-3 days before you arrive so they can pick you up, for the check out I was allowed to stay a bit more around the hotel and have lunch before going to the airport, unfortunately we had some problems with our flight but the hotel called me to help me and they were very helpful on that. Overall, a great experience for our honeymoon.
