the property is secluded which is exactly what we were looking for. When we did want to venture into town transfers were handled and it was always smooth and straightforward. The food was spectacular! you can request to eat anywhere on the property to enjoy whatever view you’re feeling (pool, lobby, room etc). Each day a few options for lunch were shared, and a set menu for dinner. Food was fresh, generous portions and scrumptious. We got a nice mixture of Zanzibari cuisine and international options.

I love the exclusivity of the resort (7 villas only), tranquility, the flexibility whenever you ask for different food not listed on the menu , the impeccable service offered by the staff and the dedicated cabana for each villa. Spectacular resort, stunning views and well equipped beach villa with private pool. It was a really good choice and I am happy I have selected to stay in the resort without any previous recommendations. The resort hasnt fully finished yet but this hasnt impacted our stay at all. Everything was up to perfectness. The food is amazing 5* at Mama Africa restuarant where they host different events daily on dinners with beautifully served and delicious dishes, different options and out of the menu orders can be requested to be prepared by the Chef. Special thanks to the whole team running the restaurant from the Chef to Leo F&B manager, Roman and Sam and all the others that we met and didnt catch their names. Beautiful vibes amzing background local music played delicious recipes and everything just fresh from the sea or their homemade gardens.... We had 5 night stay and honestly haven't got bored to even think of leaving the resort. Anja, Radka and Emmanuel thanks for all the support and quick reposnse in resloving things and providing all the necessity when required. Special thanks aswell to Emmanuel for supporting in all the personal needs when requested helping to rent a vehicle and issuing driving permit etc... So dont worry on anything if planning to travel to Zanzibar and stay at Ycona resort, you will be sorted out with all you need. I would definitely rate it 5+ star and would be my permenant choice selection for all planned future revisits to Zanzibar. Great team, ambiance , views, accommodation. Thanks for the lovely stay and built memory.
