WOW! Staying at Maki's place (2 nights) has been one of our highlights of our 17 days trip to Japan. This accommodation secluded in the forest is FANTASTIC! We couldn't thank more Maki and her mom for showing us the traditional Japanese hospitality. Food and onsen are great!!!

The super comfortable Onsen including a sauna, an outdoor pool, and a cold water pool. The complementary midnight snack. The location next to a combini, in walking distance to the main station. Staff is also super friendly.

It is located close to the JR station and there are multiple restaurants/cafes nearby. They provided us with all sorts of amenities for the toilet and the onsen, which was great. Staff is polite and English-friendly.

Excellent service, great facilities, love the complimentary drinks and snacks that’s on twice a day, love the onsen and the rice fermented rice that provided after onsen.

This place was an out-of-the-way stop in the hills for us and we loved looking around the area. We went up on the ski lifts for a little play in the snow and saw the snow monkeys near the hotel. The onsen was lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and big. Good all around!

The food was great. We could not finish dinner because they gave us so much delicious food like boar and monkfish. Breakfast was also very filling and definitely worth the money because there are not many restaurants in the area. The staff was very nice - giving us a full tour when we checked in and were very friendly and approachable. The public onsen was nice as well as our private one. They made our futons for us in our room during dinner. Everything was clean enough. They spoke very limited English, but had translations pre-prepared for most things. I was able to get by with simple Japanese. They also gave you quite a bit of amenities like shampoo, skincare, aftershave, socks, and water bottles. Overall, our stay was very comfortable and I enjoyed it.
