Great staff, the room was spacious with all amenities and a fantastic view on the lake and the Torii gate. Close to everything : supermarket, laundry, bus stop, boat and bicycle rental, and hikes. Oh, and great Onsen to relax after a whole day out Just beware of the local restaurant closing very early, book your dinners around 5.30pm or 6pm

The hotel is a 30-minute drive from Yunishikawa-Onsen Train Station. Heike Village Museum is just a 10-minute walk away. Ryuokyo Canyon is a 40-minute drive, and Nikko Toshugu Shrine is 50 km away. The hotel was fantastic, with a beautiful and relaxing and quiet environment, overlooking the river and the mountains. They offered tea and coffee during the day at the main reception. The dinner was an amazing experience and having stayed for two nights, there was no repetition of the food, and just the exquisite taste and atmosphere. It snowed while I was there, and bathing together with the falling snow just added to the magic feeling.

Private hot springs available but need-not-necessary The hotel is a very far walk from Tobu-Nikko, please utilize the shuttle bus service, especially if you have luggage. On the contrary, the hotel is near-next door to the Shrines and Temples of Nikko World Heritage Site, perfect location alongside the Tobu Bus - Shinkyo bus stop which enables you to head into Lake Chuzenji, Kegon Falls and Mt Nantai. A 40-minute drive brings guests to historical theme park Nikko Edomura. Though a bit far from a lot of things, being by the river and near the park was beautiful. Their onsen was great at night but you get spectacular views in the daylight

Excellent large house with excellent very friendly host. We did a samurai experience including tea ceremony and Ken even arranged birthday cake for my so. Offered to drive us to the restaurant he arranged for the evening where we had a great sushi diner.

The room is supplied with water, drip coffee and tea, and lots of towels. Having a private onsen was very convenient and the view from the onsen was beautiful. It was also nice to have a bathtub inside. The reception building has a microwave and oven, and a small play area with some toys and books for kids. There are some DVDs to borrow (in Japanese). There is delicious rice bread for sale and it can be brought directly to your room. The manager was very kind and accommodating. I would like to come back in the future.
