I arrived earlier at the property on 5 January before check-in and staff arranged for my luggage to be moved into my room when I came back after exploring. Dinner was good and subsequently during check out i left my luggage at the counter to explore the town more before my train. When I came back and wanted to leave, staff provided me with a lift to the train station. It was raining at that time and the lift was appreciated despite the train station being quite close by. Excellent services by the staff here and I greatly appreciate it. Definite recommend.

Our room had it's own outdoor bath and view of the river. Sitting in hot water and watching snow falling was spectacular. The meals were average onsen fare.

After dinner, you can easily take a walk to look for traces of Kitaro, which is really fun. The hotel is very clean, with good facilities, and the staff are attentive and friendly. They also offer complimentary ramen and ice cream for guests to enjoy after using the onsen at night. Both breakfast and dinner are of high quality and offer great value for money. Highly recommended.

Our entire family loved the meals. Although I had some concerns about buffet-style dining, we were blown away by the quality, diversity and quantity of fantastic food. This was not clearly like any buffet I have ever known back home!

It was more fancy than I thought it would be, truly amazing. The Japanese style room and the public bathing area were both a fantastic experience. Close to the beach, with quite a few restaurants and stores around, direct bus to the station. There's a fridge, a kettle, some welcome teas and snacks, and a yukata for after the bath! They have three sizes. Highly recommend.
