Everything about the place was simply perfect. It is also a fantastic location. You can get there by car without a problem and then easily drive in no time to the historic city of Lübeck, make your way to nice places like the small town of Eutin by a lovely lake, or simply drive to Kiel. And since you are right by the station for the Regio train, super quiet, can't here it go by, but you walk there in about a minute and the train takes about 13 minutes to the main train station in Lübeck. You walk right into the historic town or switch to a train just about anywhere across the north of Germany. Hamburg is also just an hour away and so is the airport in Hamburg. Train or car, this is a perfect location. The owners are very, very nice and super accommodating, helpful, even greeted us with a nice bottle of wine and a large bottle of fresh, bottled water. Any question we had was answered instantly. And the place is so very quiet and just lovely. Not to forget, loads of grocery shopping within two minutes to walk.

Forsthaus St Hubertus is a little gem. It is our regular stop when we (frequently) visit Lübeck. The city is about 5 miles from the hotel and there is a regular bus route with a stop about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The bus takes you all the way into the centre of the city. Hotel is situated on the edge of a wooded area and rooms are quiet. Breakfast caters for most tastes with a varied selection of food. When arriving, the owner was more than happy to help with carrying the luggage up the stairs. There are 3 excellent restaurants within easy walking distance.

This place is all about the host. Herr Wolfgang has been absolutely amazing. He is very kind, available and helps with all possible problems. He made sure I was warm in the room , putting extra heating. You really feel home in this place. The room is spacious and clean. It has a large terrace , you wake up on the signing of the birds in the garden. Internet works, bathroom can be shared with another rooms ' occupant. Everything is clean and everything works.
