Really beautiful stone house with several bedrooms and one bathroom in each. Well equipped kitchen and enough space for 11 people to sit and eat together. Nice and clean pool and a big plus that there were always some place to sit in the shade. Nice room outside where we could sit and enjoy the sunset in the evenings. Room for several cars in front of the house.

Villa Gaia was a great stay. We went as a group of 8 friends for a week and all of us were very satisfied with the Villa. The owner is also very helpful and sociable. If you ever need anything, you just need to call him and have beer in the fridge! Seriously considering revisiting Crete.

Really clean & tidy on arrival. Milk & bread in fridge as requested. View from veranda fabulous. Kitchen had everything needed. Villa well stocked. Even though we arrived very late, we were met on arrival. Nikos texted to ask if everything was ok. Nice relaxing week.

The villa located in a quiet area, with a terrace overlooking the sea, the valley with olive trees, the mountains and Milatos Cave. Parking is on the side of the road, but most people here park this way. The interior is new, minimal equipment in the kitchen, big fridge, TV (although there is nothing special to watch), air conditioning in both rooms, in short no frills, but everything you need is available. Of course the star of the villa is the terrace with swimming pool: 5m x 3m x 3m. Note that there is no shallow part in the pool, however there are two life preservers around, so swimming skill and basic water's rescue skills are mandatory requirements for the visitors. A canopy, sun loungers and shade - everything to spend a hot afternoon. There is a place for a barbecue, but there is no need for it in the summer, may be only to scare away the mosquitoes. It's better to have insect repellent with you at night: not many visible ones have been seen (mosquitoes), but they gnaw on a fresh human body, bite specifically and mercilessly. Clean, nice, a garden with lemons and olives, IMHO obligate to have a car, otherwise you’ll waste too much time on hikes and logistics, and it’s quite hot at noon. We were satisfied, our expectations coincided with reality.

Beautiful buildings, rooms, and grounds with lovely gardens and great decor. Option to enjoy cocktails each evening, delicious locally-sourced dinners and breakfasts, and day trips to local wineries. The nearby village was also wonderful to spend time in and not touristy and crowded. Great pool, plenty of parking, amazing service all around. A great place for relaxation, meeting new people, and to appreciate the real Crete. We can't wait to go back.
