The keys were easily accessible and the code was sent via email rather than having to call to get the code. Which was great because we didn't have access to the phone.

couldn’t say enough great things about this place! great location and tons of space! free breakfast was a huge bonus. the first night we stayed we were the only guest, second night there was another set of guest staying on the opposite side of the building. hot tub was amazing!

This guest house is 5 mi from Skogar and 10 minutes’ drive from the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall. It offers tastefully decorated rooms with Eyjafjöll Mountain views.

The rooms were comfy and cozy. The kitchen/common area totally exceeded our expectations - we didn’t realize this space was part of the property at all, so that was a welcome surprise. The location was amazing, we were able to see the northern lights from right behind the building, and it was in close proximity to other beautiful sights.

Anna and Siggi's place was our favorite place we stayed at during our trip around Iceland. The location is incredible--there's a waterfall in their backyard and the ocean right in front. Our room had an incredible view, and the room itself was clean, comfortable, and charmingly decorated. We used the kitchenette in our rooms which was well stocked, but there's also a shared kitchen with some baked goods Anna had made (delicious!). The only downside is that it's a bit far from any towns, so make sure you eat/stock up before arriving, but it also means that the place is quiet and dark in the evenings--perfect for stargazing, which we did. 10/10 would recommend and would stay again!

Top compliment is that host was lightening fast in responding to a "problem" that didn't even exist. It was simply a difference between cultures. Our fault, but she was "Johnny On The Spot'. Host's husband was super sweet and friendly.

We loved everything about the Umi hotel. During our trip to Iceland we stayed in 10 different hotels while traveling around the island. The Umi hotel far exceeded our expectations and was far superior to the others hotels we stayed in. The hotel is ideally located for viewing the Northern Lights, offering an exceptional setting with minimal light pollution, which enhances the chances of seeing the aurora. After a long day of hiking and touring Iceland’s breathtaking countryside, the hotel provides all the comforts you could ask for. Rooms are spacious and luxurious, designed to make you feel at home while you unwind. The robes provided were soft and cozy combined with the luxury bath products gave us a spa feeling. The staff were friendly, professional, and very attentive. The hotel’s restaurant was fabulous, offering a breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options, sure to satisfy every palate. Whether you’re looking for Icelandic specialties or international cuisine, the buffet has something for everyone. Dinner was perfection, with expertly prepared dishes that showcased local ingredients. From fresh seafood to farm-to-table offerings, each meal was a highlight of the stay.

This is a charming cabin with gorgeous views and a hot tub! What more can you ask for? They even left a dish of chocolates. We loved it immensely.
