Just a short walk to the old city which is much more convenient than staying in the Sassi which I think could be difficult with bags.

The property was in an outstanding location, clean, quiet, comfortable and exceptional. The check in was very easy through links sent on WhatsApp. Simons spoke English and was very accommodating.

​Throughout our stay, we were met with warm hospitality and outstanding professionalism from the incredibly polite and helpful staff. ​For guests traveling by car, there is ample parking in the hotel’s beautifully maintained outdoor grounds, plus the convenience of a gas station located right out front. The rooms and common areas were spotless, comfortably furnished, and filled with natural light. ​Breakfast was a highlight—served with excellent, attentive service that managed to feel wonderfully welcoming and family-like at the same time. ​Without a doubt, this hotel offers incredible value for money. Highly recommended!

It was very good idea to choose this hotel. Very close to Sassi of Matera. Comfortable room, friendly staff, good breakfast. We were lucky to have last place in the parking lot for our car. It was easy to walk from the hotel to most of the attractions in the city.

The room is extremely modern and I love that. The staff is super helpful and amazing. I sprained my ankle and they were very attentive to helping me out. They also were helpful with finding good places to eat dinner. Their breakfast is amazing. You have to try their Cornetto

Good location. Very close to old Town.

The room was just beautiful with the stone walls and ceiling plus the staff are super helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in the heart old part of the city with amazing streets and walkways to explore almost right out your door. Lots of restaurants to choose from as you explore the old city. The breakfast service at the hotel is a real bonus to get your morning of exploring started as once you start to roam the streets your camera is going to get a workout.

Our room had the most amazing views of the historic center. It was worth the stay just for the view! But luckily, everything else was great as well. The room was comfortable with a huge shower. The staff were absolutely lovely and provided us with vegan croissants when I told them we were vegan. For us, the location was great as it was right in the middle of everything.

Location, facilities and staff

Best location it is in the center of the old town with a nice view. Great Breakfast in a cave or terras next to the reception.

Everything, the owners did a thorough job welcoming us, explaining about the city, places to go where to eat, delicious breakfast and the rooms were soo comfortable and clean. We would definitely book again if we ever returned.

Everything was wonderful. The location, the views, amenities and the host. They send you a .pdf where the list everything you want: where to park, where to eat or go to drinks, what to visit, and a video how to get there. Never been as easy to find the accomodation and to get around. We parked at Sant Isidoro and you get in the Sassi in about 10 minutes. Breakfast was incredible: fresh cornetti and focaccia, good cappucino, but also boiled eggs, cold cuts, yogurt or cereal - you cand find something to eat and the view from the terrace is amazing!

Great place to stay in Matera! The location was excellent, close to everything and within walking distance of the main attractions, restaurants, and the historic center. The room was comfortable and pleasant, and everything was very convenient. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Matera.

Beautiful rooms, super nice staff and the best views

The woman who runs it is amazing. The food was fantastic. For room service they sent us our food and the beautiful picnic basket. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We loved loved loved loved this hotel.

A new complex, everything was as advertised

LOOK NO FURTHER, BOOK NOW! Absolutely exceptional location, accommodation AND staff. Walking distance to the historical center of the stunning Matera, these incredible caves capturing every aspect of their forgotten charm also offer the luxury of every modern amenity one may need. Such a unique experience worth every penny: from the incredible courtesy of Pasquale from the front desk (taking care of us as if we were the only guests, bringing coffee for my parents' super early mornings, making restaurant reservations and ensuring parking transfers), to the kind bell boys carrying very heavy luggage up long & cumbersome stairs, to the very rich breakfast in an old cave church, the housekeeping 2x/day bringing fresh fruit and water into the room, the bar staff still serving us drinks after a long journey even though it was officially after hours or the therapists offering 1h massages in the intimacy of your own cave. We were very delighted with the time spent here and would come back any time!

Wonderful place, great location, beautiful area surrounding it, very peaceful. Very comfortable room, spacious and comfortable. Great breakfast and dinner, even prepared dishes to our request. And most of all the staff and service. The best possible, both reception and restaurant. Highly recommended.

Very good location, further from the city centre which makes it a quiet and enjoyable! About 10 min drive to Sassi. Very modern hotel with a nice design inside and outside. Friendly and very accommodating staff 👍 Enjoyed our morning breakfast at the buffet as well. Will definitely stay here again when we are back to Matera.
