Our host went out of his way to make our stay memorable. It is a beautiful area and an exceptional renovation. Breakfast was homemade baked goods with fresh fruit and the two dinners we had there were great. They were served on a terrace at sunset, very romantic.

Staying at the Cedro provided a breathtaking, authentic experience (think Tuscany or Provence) in the beautiful historic town of Tursi. The Cedro has you perched high on the hill, nestled into a quiet corner, with extraordinary views of the surrounding hillsides that become truly magical in the evenings. Stepping into the Cedro was such a surprise, as it's even nicer than the photos suggest. The space is beautifully set up -- the lovely, kind host Martine has exquisite taste that balances aesthetics and comfort -- and leads you to light-filled rear French doors that open onto a back patio complete with a small table and chairs, and even a bathtub for quiet, private al fresco moments. The space is very clean and has everything you might need, along with a myriad of small but much-appreciated extras, such as luxury soap or a carton of milk in the fridge, that just added to our comfort. All thanks to Martine, who is an exceptional host and always very responsive to any kind of query but also unobtrusive. She meets you in town to lead you up to the property. (We had a standard car, which was a little large for the parking, but the very kind local people will step in quickly to help you maneuver!) And she walks you through the accommodation to make sure you have everything you might need. She will also take extra steps, such as offering to book a table at one of the local restaurants. And best of all, she is a really interesting person with a remarkable personal story. We loved our stay at the Cedro and can't recommend it highly enough! We didn't want to leave.

Such an unusual location with beautiful views. Although the apartment is small and on the dark side it contains all amenities for a comfortable stay and stays cool even though the temperature outside approaches 30. Parking super easy. Excellent communication with host.

Casa del Sole is a modern, elegant, spacious and comfortable apartment that has everything and more to offer. The host Francesco was very friendly and helpful in personally orienting us to the place. There is a sun drenched south facing large terrace and a separate balcony. The apartment is centrally located in the charming and tranquil town of Montalbano Jonico, which is set in a rich agricultural area with olive groves, citrus orchards and vineyards. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed both the apartment and the town. This listing is a great value and we particularly recommend it to all!
