Exceeded expectations in every way. The house was very cute, bright, wonderful outdoor space and orientation, we enjoyed views from everywhere. The grounds were beautiful and really incredible, terraced seating areas, the fabulously warm pool! And Maria was magic - she was kind, welcoming and went above and beyond. We loved it and look forward to coming back. An amazing value too for such a lovely experience.

Very clean and comfortable. Helder was a fabulous host with recommendations of where to visit and eat. Plus the breakfast every morning, the bottle of wine from his Quinta and the homemade chutney for our sandwiches. Well stocked fridge and pantry with juices, cereal, milk, yogurt, ham and cheese was perfect for dinner in as the weather was challenging at times. Thank you Helder

Very quiet, very comfortable and very clean. Staff were amazing. Got us some breakfast early so we could head out on the Camino early and she even drove us over to the Camino to avoid roads and heavy traffic.

The house is spacious and very comfortable. The property has a beautiful garden with a variety of blooming plants and a stunning veiw of the Lima River valley. We enjoyed daily outings of hiking and exploring nearby Ponte De Lima. We also cooked many memorable meals in the well equiped kitchen.

The landscape was like the Garden of Eden with all the different varieties of fruit trees and chestnut trees. The house was an enchanting old farm house with a updated large kitchen you shared and a family room. The owners were lovely and very cheerful people. P.S. There is a new pool added.

Everything! When the blue door opens we were overwhelmed with the size, clean, comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms are very nice. Look no further and stay at Casa do Rio. Exceptional! The history is very nice and made us feel right at home.

Clean and high quality interior, good beds, sheets and towels. 3 excellent air conditioners. Rough cement structure in the back holding fresh spring water from the mountain, drinkable as it comes out of a pipe. If you are young and flexible like me, I’m 72, you can get into the water, about 1.2 meters deep. Very refreshing in the intense heat of July. Lots of fruit trees on the large property.

The room was very spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. It felt cozy and private. The staff was wonderful. I also need to mention a delicious dinner as well as breakfast with fresh fruit, juices and baked goods.
