Gorgeous view of the mountains and the valley! What an amazing and magical place watching the scenery change with the mist. The cutest and most lovely place with all kinds of plants and decoration inside and outside! The design of the whole place is amazing. The dining area has huge glass windows where you could feel like you are part of this mountain. On the bottom of the dining building, there is a fish pond below it so you can see the fish swimming under the dining building. There is an amazing viewing area and in the dining area you can see incredible views while eating. The hotpot was so good. It’s wonderful to dine in such a beautiful location. The place is very spotlessly clean and the accommodations and dining area is beautiful. Our room is extremely cozy and everything is beautiful and in excellent working order. My kids loved the 2 cats and 3 dogs on site. The staff is very friendly and talked to us! What an incredible place! We absolutely loved our stay and definitely want to come back!

I loved the peaceful location nestled in the tea mountains, where the air was fresh and the views were stunning from every angle. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering delicious home-cooked meals, organizing tea tastings with their own harvest, and even picking us up from the bus stop. The room was cozy and clean, and falling asleep to the sound of mountain drizzle made the experience feel truly magical.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alishan Hinoki B&B! The room was a good size — very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The interior had a beautiful, warm aesthetic with lovely big windows that let in plenty of natural light. As a bonus, they even provide a free pair of flip flops and serve delicious tea, which added a special touch to the stay. One small suggestion would be to add some towel hooks or hanging bars near the sink area for convenience. Also, a small shelf in the bathroom would be helpful for keeping clean clothes dry and off the floor. Overall, a wonderful place to stay — peaceful, cozy, and well-maintained. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Alishan!

Hosts went above and beyond to ensure a great stay. First, Wendy helped me install WhatsApp so that we could text directly and arrange for pickups and drop offs from the Chiayi train station, Alishan and also within the town for dinners. Wendy’s husband picked us up promptly and even took us to a local place for lunch, he stopped for us also when the kids got carsick and needed a break. I was also able to text for an earlier pickup when we were done hiking in Alishan for our ride back to Chiayi train station. Their family also grows tea at the property and Wendy scheduled a tea tasting with her dad who educated about how to prepare and enjoy tea. Wendy also called a restaurant for us multiple times to change dinner reservations. Breakfast was home cooked, our host specially prepared green onion pancakes and millet donuts for our kids! The room was also huge with enormous picture windows with views of the mountains, tea fields and cloud forests. The famous Mist Trail starts right at the end of the driveway so we hiked it twice during our stay. Again, a really kind family with a comfortable property in a beautiful location!

The room was spacious for a party of two (the room could comfortably fit 4 people) and had a large balcony. When I there, the weather was foggy, misty, & raining so I didn't get the full sunset view (however you could still see the tea plantations when it cleared up). They do provide heated blankets when the weather is cold (absolute game changer as we would have froze with how under-packed we were). There is parking and they ask for the time when you want your breakfast (so you can bring it back to your room). The family was very friendly despite the language barrier. Overall, we had a lovely experience despite the weather.

The host of Miao Home is thoughtful and kind. She got out of her way to help us figure out how to get to our next destinations. She made us a delicious breakfast and served it with beautiful music. Her rooms are clean and roomy. We are very satisfied with our stay here and hope for a future revisit soon
