What a lovely experience staying at this beautiful inn surrounded by nature. The new owners showed so much care and pride for their property and we loved interacting with them, the friendly staff and other guests, which we enjoyed so much. If you prefer lots of privacy, your own space and spectacular views, go for the chalets on the hilltop, they overlook mountains and rivers. They have just been repainted. Sitting on the stunning porch, with a choice of chairs or comfy sofas, enjoying the hummingbirds fly to the feeders was such a highlight especially during breakfast, which was of fantastic quality and choice. On colder days, there is a cozy lounge for relaxing if you wish. We found the location so convenient for exploring Cape Breton as well as the Bras D’Or lakes. We had a comfortable and restful stay at Hillcrest Hall. Comfortable beds, access to fans/AC to cool the rooms down. Reliable wifi (at least for mobile browsing) and a great breakfast each morning. Walkable to local beaches & a lovely lawn to chill on at the start/end of the day. Just 500 metres from the coast, Chisholms of Troy Coastal Cottages are all equipped with BBQ facilities and a patio overlooking St. George’s Bay and the Strait of Canso. I had a wonderful stay. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The location was perfect. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay. Shukran :)
