The room was spacious and well equipped. The reception speaks English, through wechat we booked Li river cruise and transport. Massages are directly in the hotel and at a good price, again it was possible to book for wechat. Breakfast on the 5th floor with a view.

The staff were friendly and informative. They recommended multiple tourist attractions in Guilin. I joined the bamboo river rafting excursion which I highly recommend. Thank you!

The staff even walked with us to a rent-a-scooter shop and explained our plan to the scooter-shop owner, she was very caring.

She helped us to make reservations for many attractions. Also she always been in touch with us, provided information about interesting spots, food places, tickets etc. Big bonus - Kate can speak English very well. Kate’s mom had cooked breakfast and lunch for us and it was really amazing, I literally felt in love with simple homemade Chinese food thanks to her 😍 Location is very good. Very quiet at night. And the same time just few steps away from ferry, then a couple of minutes by boat and you are in the middle of hustle and bustle West Street. Guest house itself is very nice, reception is interesting decorated. Washing machine and free detergent are available on the roof top. Free water bottles at the reception. Rooms and bathrooms are big. We had balcony room and the river view was great. So, I definitely can recommend to book this place. You will never regret for sure. Thank you again Kate! The owner and staff are extremely kind and helpful. I booked room for 2 adults, but changed to 3 adults at the location. The staff helped us to make changes without extra charges because there is room available. The owner offered very good Pu'er tea on its beautiful tea table to share with guests. The staff made honest recommendation about restaurants in the village. I am extremely happy with my stay at Serene Vale Inn.

Great communication from the very beginning until our arrival. The rooms are very nice, extremely clean and quiet. All the necessary amenities are there and the bed is comfortable. The location is amazing - right in the center of Xingping Old Town. We would definitely come again.
