I had the most wonderful stay at this handcrafted music-themed guesthouse by the serene West Lake. Every corner of the house is filled with artistic details – from handmade decorations to vintage musical instruments – it feels like stepping into a peaceful, creative retreat. The hostess is incredibly friendly and speaks excellent English, which made communication super smooth and welcoming. She shared lovely stories behind the decor and even gave me great local tips for exploring the lake and nearby cafés. The room was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with little touches that show real care and personality. Waking up to soft music and birdsong, then having tea on the balcony with a view of the lake, was unforgettable.

I got upgraded for free and the room was very clean. The thing that I love the most is the location of this hotel. It is very convenient to reach everywhere, easy for the taxi to come and pick up. There is also a bus station right in front of the hotel. The neighborhood was amazing too. The area around the hotel was super beautiful and was one of the thing I loved the most in Hangzhou. You have to visit Xiaoxialong/ Hu Xueyan's Former Residence area, they are easy to reach by foot from the hotel and the vibe is amazing. The staff is also very friendly and helpful, could not really speak English but we managed with google translate so that would not be a problem at all. Last but not least, the price is amazing for the quality. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay, you won't regret it.

Loved our stay at Rock & Wood Cozy House! Vivian was a great host and very accommodating! The house was well decorated and homey. The location was great. Vivian served as tea and snacks upon arrival, and provided a great breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended!
