The location is perfect, everything is within easy reach, and there’s a beautiful park just across the street. The room with a balcony was such a great choice, quite spacious, very clean and well equipped. It felt super comfortable. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Bilbao!

The staff was friendly and very welcoming - Daniel shared some main destinations including some off the trail places in the city. Overall I loved it!

Situated in Bilbao, 200 metres from Arriaga Theatre, Hotel Tayko Bilbao was built in 1924. The property is within just 0.2 km of Catedral de Santiago and 15 minutes' walk from Guggenheim Museum. One of the best designed hotels I have ever stayed in. The interior design of all the spaces is top notch. Spatious rooms and a large bed. The breakfast is a la carte and has some interesting and creative items. Was upgraded for free to a better room and got a free drink for self-checking.

Excellent breakfast! Even when we arrived in the evening, exhausted after a long day on the Camino, the hostess helped us place an order from a Chinese restaurant, and there’s also the option to buy basic groceries for cooking if you have the energy. Just keep in mind that it’s about 2 km off the trail’s starting point, so plan your route accordingly. Highly recommended!
