In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. The room was spacious and had a very good view of a small stream. The amenities were excellent. The bathroom fittings are exceptional and modern which are not a common sighting in Europe. The place is at walking distance from the railway station and the main market area. The host, Ian, is very friendly.

The guest house is very safe and secure, which made me feel 10x more comfortable on my first solo trip. Highfield features great lake and mountain views and its own private car park. The beautiful rooms have en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. Good location, very clean and delicious breakfast. Also received a complimentary upgrade

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Everything was excellent location, room, breakfast and especially the staff.

The Staff are so Friendly. The room was a good size at the front. Loved the pool area and outside Jacuzzi which I only just learned was hot!!! Food Amazing. Love Manuel! He rec my haddock brekkie and was perfect. Comfy lounge bar.Booked again for December!!!

The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels. Nice & cozy place with warm & friendly staff that provides respite from the otherwise cold weather! Room is clean & location is close to supermarkets & restaurants. Although the building was built in 1882, the room amenities are quite modern.
