The Best Part: While the accommodation itself is stellar, the highlight of my trip was the time spent with Gurmehar Singh. His detailed and insightful explanation of the Golden Temple's history, significance, and architecture was a truly invaluable experience and made my visit to the site so much more meaningful. Housed in one of Amritsar's oldest mansions, Ranjit's Svaasa, a 200 year old Heritage Boutique Haveli is a luxurious spa retreat located just off Mall Road. Excellent! Although travelling alone, I felt 100% safe here. My room was clean, large and ‘palatial’ for a guest house. Hans the driver picked me up from the airport in the middle of the night, took me to Wagah Border and was a taxi when I went into the centre - 100% reliable and he looked after me. Thank you!
