We loved the look outside, we appreciated the entrance, we admired the small lobby and we enjoyed the room for dinner (and breakfast). A paradise for aesthetes. Really! And the best: Using the buffet is somehow for free. If you stay in the hotel, you can for example have dinner there - it's included. And the food is great, the breakfast delicious! And the rooms and the location are also very good. (We were so unhappy that we had to leave earlier because of typhoon Shanshan... and btw we are still waiting for a confirmation of the hotel that we had to leave earlier as foreseen for our insurance.)

The hotel is relatively new, around four years old when writing this. We picked the Miyako Hotel Hakata for its excellent location right adjacent to the Hakata train station. The reception is on the third floor. The staff is friendly and professional, and the rooms are excellent - very spacious and bright. Fully equipped with any amenities you might need and with fantastic beds and pillows. The lights, curtains and drapes are controlled by a tablet on a bedside table. The hotel features a lovely outdoor pool on the top floor amd also has a good restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We tried the ten course dinner and it was very good. Grilling out on our front porch was very fun and the heaters made it nice and warm even in winter. We enjoyed morning yoga, fire pit s'mores and the free drinks and mocktails from the garden kitchen. There is an incredible park within walking distance. So much fun!
