Surrounded by granite outcrops and with stunning views and roaming wildlife, Desert Quiver Camp offers modern self-catering accommodation, located just 5 km away from the entrance gate to Sossusvlei. Very big, clean rooms. Rooms are at a good distance from each other which feels very private. We ordered the braai package (a lot of choice and you can choose what you want) and enjoyed making our own BBQ. Swimming pool is also really nice. Location is very close to the gate.

Everything was perfect, we really enjoyed our stay! Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms are nice and spacious, the food was great and we got to see many animals.

Initially, I was hesitant to choose this property because the photos on the booking page don’t reflect its true essence, the images are low-quality, amateur, and not updated. Based on the pictures alone, I had doubts about the cleanliness and overall quality compared to the price. However, the camp completely exceeded my expectations. It’s a true treat and an authentic Namibian experience. The location is absolutely perfect, right between Windhoek, Walvis Bay, and the Sesriem/Sossusvlei road. If you stay here, you will save a lot of long-distance driving while visiting the must-see places in the region.
