The staff is extremely nice and helpful, and very efficient. They accommodated all our requests and were always thinking in advance. This has never happened to us in other resorts, so congratulations for such a great team.

Our stay was wonderful! The place was clean, quiet, cozy, and very comfortable. It’s conveniently located within walking distance of various establishments, and it’s also close to the port. Most major tourist spots are just a 20–30 minute ride away. They even offered free pick-up upon our arrival, which was a big help. There is a shared kitchen available where guests can cook their own meals. I suggest bringing your own food to prepare, as this can help you save on expenses compared to eating out. The WiFi connection was fast, and the air conditioning worked very well. Special thanks to our host, Ver, who was extremely responsive and accommodating. He always made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. They even offered their car for touring us around. Ver was an all-in-one host — a tour guide, service driver, and even a cameraman — which we really appreciated, especially since it was our first time visiting Puerto Galera. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend this place. Additional tip (not related to the accommodation): I recommend booking your departure ticket as soon as you arrive in Galera, especially during weekends, as tickets sell out quickly. Based on our experience, we had to take a water taxi at ₱1,000 per person because regular tickets were sold out.

Medela was awesome, organizing a pickup from Puerto Galera to bring us to San Jose. Excellent location downtown, friendly staff and Medela and her husband dropped us off at the port the next day. We had such a lovely experience during our stay! The staff were warm, friendly, and very accommodating from start to finish. Our room was spacious at 60 sqm, spotless, and offered a stunning view of the beach—definitely a highlight for us. While enjoying the beach, one staff member kindly approached us and offered snorkeling goggles, and their lifeguard stayed nearby to watch over us due to the big waves. We truly appreciated the extra care and attention to our safety.

Highly recommend Galera Lodge! The staff were very friendly and our room was super comfortable. The food and drink at their cafe is delicious and it’s a great place to sit and do some work. They have lots of lovely animals and the hotel is in a great location for diving with Reef Haven - just a 5 min walk down the road.
