The hotel is beautiful and set in a very peaceful location in a working flower farm, surrounded by other farms. The location was great, about a 10 minute drive into La Roque-Gageac, which has great restaurants for dinner. This was the perfect place to stay with a dog. The room was spotless and very comfortable.

The location of the hotel is perfect as it's right at the edge of the walled old town so very easy walking to everywhere. The staff was very helpful as we had to rearrange our plans due to the National train strike. Our room was an apartment with king bed, nice size bathroom, extra half bath, kitchen and living area. Love that you could open the windows as we got a great breeze at night.

The location was close to Sarlat but not in the city. It offered a quiet and peaceful place to return to after a day of exploring the many sites surrounding Sarlat. Nelly and Frank were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. They offered suggestions for sites and restaurants and even for where to travel to next. Breakfast was wonderful and included homemade jams and yaourt. We are happy we picked this place for five nights.

Our stay at Château Maraval was nothing short of magical. Laurie and Dorian provided personalized service that went above and beyond, making every moment unforgettable. The property itself is an enchanting old convent with a rich history dating back to the Hundred Years' War. Laurie dedicated more than a year to researching the story of the place, diving into historical archives to uncover its fascinating past, which she shared with us during our stay. Perfectly located near the best towns in the region, Château Maraval is a haven of tranquility. The stars at night are breathtaking, and the serene forest brings deer right to your view as you enjoy breakfast. Laurie and Dorian truly made our anniversary unforgettable by filling the room with roses and helping us secure reservations at top spots. Château Maraval is not just a stay; it’s an extraordinary experience of history, beauty, and unmatched hospitality. Highly recommend!
