We loved our stay with Ravi and his family. The room was comfortable with a lovely balcony. Everyone was so nice and welcoming! We also had a delicious dinner and breakfast. It was a great place to be with our kids as they played games with the kids at the house. On our way out, we stopped in Gampola to visit Ravi’s spice garden, which was a real treat. We highly recommend!

Good place to stay well within the budget. They offered us a free welcome drink too. The room was comfortable and private. The bathroom was clean. Safe vehicle parking is available.

We stayed in a guesthouse room in Pinnawala and it was a very good experience. The room was neat and clean, with big and comfortable beds covered by mosquito nets (very useful here). The bed linen was fresh and clean. The bathroom had a flow-type water heater, and the water supply was acceptable. The location is excellent – right next to the street where elephants are taken for bathing. It is only a 3‑minute walk to the elephant orphanage and about 10 minutes to the zoo. To go down to the river you need to buy a ticket at the orphanage counter, and there is also a combo ticket for both the orphanage and the zoo. Watching the elephants bathe was very interesting and the elephants are really cute. The orphanage itself was not so impressive, but the zoo was enjoyable, a nice place to walk, and I recommend visiting it. The hostess was very friendly and kind. She helped me arrange a transfer to Dambulla at a fair price. Breakfast was tasty and filling – sausages, omelet, sweet egg pancakes, toast, fruits, and tea/coffee. Overall, this place is very good for its price, and I recommend it.
