Beautiful restored grand residence in the heart of Masaya. Large, private rooms surrounding a beautiful and well maintained pool that has both a waist high shallow end and 8 foot deep end! Very quiet and safe area of a magnificent old Nicaraguan city. The host, Sr Don Rolando, was one of the most kind and helpful gentlemen that I have ever encountered! I extended my stay in Masaya for an extra day because my experience at this location was so pleasant! Highly recommended

Maria and her husband are incredibly kind and helpful. They both speak English and are a wealth of information about Masaya, the volcano and onward travel to Granada (or I’m sure Léon, if one is going that way). The apartment is above a small shop, and although sparsely decorated, it was nice to have a “living room” separate from the bedroom. They served us fresh fruits and coffee in the morning for a fair price. I wish Maria and her husband all the best with their new endeavor. As of early February 2023, they have only been open a little over one month. I highly recommend a stay in Masaya and definitely at Casa Maria. Thank you both for a lovely stay!

Breakfasts made by Yanet were excellent and different each day with fruits, eggs, rice and beans (gallo pinto) and coffee. The core family (Hébert, Yanet and their son Lester) with whom I dealt with everyday are truly genuine people, they have helped me 200% with research on land/houses in that area (my goal when I visited Nicaragua), We had excellent conversations, like I never had in other Latin countries, all in all if you want to understand this amazing country more and you speak Spanish, you will learn a lot. Also, members of the family are master potters, they have a small studio downstairs where you can buy their work and also, very recently, take a ceramics course on site. Don't forget to ask them who is 'Leo'

We enjoyed the entire time at Casa Bubu. We were mesmerized the moment we checked in by the warmth and kindness we were received by the owners of the house, Mr. Yves and Mrs. Corina. I can go ahead and say that this has been the best accommodation I have ever had in my life. The attention to detail goes beyond anything immaginable. We ended up making friends with other guests and the hosts. We started the year in the best possible way. From the pancakes to the shared time at the pool, we loved memorable moments. The decoration is exquisite, and the room has plenty of space. Everything has large space in the house. The chandelier, the showers, the bar, the pool. It is a place like to no other. Granada felt safe and had many things to see, to do, and to eat during your stay. We couldn't be more thankful.
