Easily the best part of Playa Escondida was the white sand beaches and clear water. We appreciated that there were wave break walls set up, so the waves did not pound the beach and kept the water calm and fun to enjoy. Also, the water was not very deep, so wading out was easy. The closeness of the apartments to the beaches also only made it a short walk to get to the beach, and there was plenty of seating, though I imagine when it is crowded, beach lounge chairs are a premium. The one open restaurant, Kayuco Restaurant & Bar, was also very good with decent service. Overall, the food was flavorful, though it still could of used more seasoning. Also, La Tienda general store had a good selection of items at reasonable prices.
