I wanted to stay in a more rural part of Portugal, and the Tapada de Beira was just what I was looking for. Beira is a very small town, basically two streets. Within a radius of 10K there are two castles and many hiking trails. The selection of restaurants is good, and a number of excellent ones 7K away in Castelo de Vide. The guest house was very nice with a large room and very nice bathroom. Private parking right beside the guest house. The farm animals added to the atmosphere. A grocery store was 5K away. I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful property with exceptional hosts. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and very cool even in the extreme heat. The pool is absolutely amazing. The hospitality and friendliness of the hosts really made our stay special.

While the pictures on booking look great, the place is even more magical in real life. We stayed at the loft - and it was totally worth it. A huge room with a terrace and a private hot tub facing great views. The bed was super comfortable, the room had everything we needed. The decor, both in the room and around the compound, is filled with art (some of it you can actually buy). Our most favorite place we stayed in during our visit in Portugal. 10 minutes drive to the nearest town.

This is a highly organised property. It must have been an old farm house or similar and the owners decided to put it to a new use and turned it into three accommodations. And one can see they really gave it a lot of thought and did it properly, starting with the kitchen and the bathroom and then the stable mosquito netting and to top it all a central vacuum system! I've never seen one in any hotel or B&B or anywhere before. Great going! If I need to visit the area again, that's where I'm going.

Darling home, remodeled with modern conveniences in the perfect location in this medieval town. The castle and restaurants are only a few steps away. The host was very proactive and responsive in communicating with us. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans etc.

    The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is just perfect for enjoying the calm, close to a lot of interesting historical places to visit, and very close to the city of Marvão which is a must to visit. Pets allowed and private parking just perfect.
