A very beautiful place — the room was clean, modern, and equipped with everything we needed. There was a lovely garden all around, a natural water reservoir nearby, and a wonderful restaurant. Breakfast was delicious and served in the restaurant in a charming setting. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful; he welcomed us with coffee upon arrival and showed us all the local attractions. I highly recommend this place!

We had an excellent stay at this lovely homestay. The owners were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The food was outstanding — we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, and they were happy to prepare anything we requested. The property has a beautiful balcony where you can relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. It truly feels like a hidden gem. They have just three rooms, which makes the stay peaceful, private, and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for warm hospitality and a relaxing getaway.

Food was fantastic, rooms were large and tastefully decorated, staff and host were friendly and helpful. Being immersed in nature while having all the amenities we needed was a breath of fresh air.

Roshani was so attentive, thorough and communicative. She not only provided accommodations but invited me on various cultural experiences so I could get a first hand experience. This is not a simple accomodation, this is a unique and immersive experience into nature and Sri Lanka culture. The owner is a special person and he will host you at his best, you could feel sourranded by attention since the beginning. The place is a farm in the middle of a sugarcane plantation. You will sleep having an open window to sounds of nature and fireflys will appear over your beds. Everything is super clean and the dinner was fantastic, prepared by the host’s mum. We made a Safari at Yala gate 3 and thanks to wonderful guidance we saw 3 leopards, mangust, eagles and crocodiles We are first guest from Italy..i cannot recommend it more!!

Kande Gedara Resort (කන්දෙ ගෙදර) está ubicado en Monaragala, a 45 km de Buduruwagala Temple, y tiene alojamiento con un jardín, estacionamiento privado gratis, una terraza y un restaurante. Muy bonito lugar alejado de ruidos, en plena jungla pero a 100m de una carretera sin apenas tráfico. El anfitrión, Michael, es una persona muy especial además de excelente cocinero. A remarcar que es el único guía en el pueblo para subir al monte Maragala. Una subida exigente para aquellos que les gusta la montaña. Una caminata que te llevará todo el día, 6 horas para ascender (con sus paradas para refrescarse y tomar un agua de coco), y 4 horas de descenso. Para un paseo corto, hay un mirador a 30 minutos caminando desde la propiedad, que está muy bonito. También está muy bien ubicado para hacer una parada yendo o regresando de Arugam Bay y disfrutar de una cena 10.

Excellent stay- the property was gorgeous, the hosts the friendliest and we had incredible food! Adding to that, we saw 4!!! Leopards . Stay could not have been better.
