Very beautiful surrondings! The house we stayed in was very spacious and well equipped. We liked pool, it had insane view of the ocean and Mount Pico.

I absolutely loved how they captured the spirit of Pico Island how it used to be before it became modernized and crowded with visitors. I remember going to Pico as a child and what I really loved about it was the silence and the ability to birds, cows and chickens in the distance. This place is absolute paradise in recapturing that atmosphere. I can’t think of a better place to go Rest in Pico. At the same time, the place has all the modern amenities than one needs to be comfortable. It’s the perfect balance between old quaint, traditional premodern Pico and the most advanced comforts that we have all become accustomed to including high speed Internet.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. What really made the experience stand out was the exceptional service. A brand-new, modern hotel with spectacular, spacious rooms, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools with sauna, steam and hot tub. It is really WOW! Had a balcony with sea view. Fabulous breakfast. Great service. You can rent a car direct and also arrange for airport shuttle service. Well-located.

Everything about this place exceeded expectations. We had a three bedroom unit super clean with a full kitchen. Our host was super sweet and gave us some suggestions on areas and vineyards to visit. Will definitely make a point to come back here.

The staff were friendly and so incredibly helpful. The accommodations were beyond great. Breakfast was a lovely assortment of meats, cheese, breads, juice, coffee or cappuccino, and your choice of eggs and bacon or yogurt with granola and fruit. It was so lovely and quiet at night. Not suitable for wheelchair or someone that has trouble climbing stairs. They are not steep but there are quite a few to get to Suite #1 (not a bad thing but thought I had better share that). I did not swim in the indoor pool but it was lovely and if warmer, I would have swam in the private pool outside my suite. The view of Pico Mountain is not always visible but I was treated to a lovely show of it when I arrived. Absolutely stunning and would return again.

Elizabete and Thelma are what make this property shine! Their breakfasts were some of the best we’ve had while traveling! Proactive correspondence before arrival, personal recommendations, property tours, and after hours responses were thoughtful and made our stay remarkable. The ability to have a little extra time on the property at the end of our stay was so appreciated!! We gladly spent a day poolside doing nothing and then explored the coastline on foot using the walking trails just across from the property. Not to be missed just down the street: Joe’s Bar! Right on the beach, May 1-Oct. 30. Other perks: - Communal fridge access for guests - Honor bar for soda/alcohol - House-made liquors and wine - Access to full kitchen + cooking supplies - Towel warmer in bathroom - Secluded location along the coast - Separate WC and shower near pool - Indoor/Outdoor patio

Compared to other reviews I can confirm all the rooms and places we have been too were refurbished, part of the ongoing investment of the new ownership. The trails that lead to the swimming pool access and to the Ocean, might feel a little complicated at first, but in realty offer a great experience with wonderful ocean views. All the ocean terraces in the hotel are simply amazing. The view from our room was amazing and the room itself was brand new. Loved it.

Alma do Pico - Nature Residence has an outdoor swimming pool with stunning views over Faial Island and the surroundings. The unit is in Pico Island and has views over the famed Pico Mountain.

A very tranquil location, nice spacious cabin, lots of privacy and places to relax, incredibly kind and helpful staff. They’ve got lots of great info about the island and there’s a partner restaurant that is very nice as well.
