Xavier was very approachable and very proud of the property as he and Anne should be. And….there were no mosquitoes (mid-December)

Helpful neighbors let me know that I could wait at the local beach. Full sized refrigerator, 4 pit electric stove, oven, coffee maker, cleaning supplies, etc. I stayed in the smaller accommodation, 1 bedroom, and it has a nice covered porch to sit on with a wonderful view of the ocean, especially at sunset. There is an octagonal pool just a step away that also has a great view of the ocean and it makes a great place from which to watch the sun set. The area is quiet and calm. It's not a touristy place and made a great place to just relax and enjoy the views and nature. The beach is a bit of a walk up and down very steep roads. (25% grade?) If you are fit, it's a good workout. There is a restaurant and further a beach bar. The location makes a nice central point from which to explore the west coast of the island. Enough about the property, over my hosts I cannot say enough kind things. They were so warm, caring and welcoming. In my many travels, I rarely meet such wonderful people. Although I do not speak French, we communicated via Google Translate on my phone. That led to some amusement with mis-translations. However we enjoyed a number of conversations. When the power went out one evening, she came along with lights for me. When I needed to see a doctor, she arranged that for me. I felt well cared for - above and beyond, really. I would gladly stay here again if only for the hosts.
