Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. Fernery Lodge is in an absolutely beautiful location, perched on a cliff with breathtaking views over the ocean. We stayed in one of the chalets and loved it — everything is wooden and beautifully designed, giving it a super cozy and unique feel. The chalet was very spacious and well-equipped, with a lovely bath and two showers, which was a great touch. The pool area is really nice, and the property has several hot tubs spread around, perfect to enjoy both during the day and in the evening. The whole atmosphere felt romantic, peaceful, and genuinely special.

Located in the village of Stormsrivier in Tsitsikamma, this bed and breakfast offers traditionally decorated rooms with a balcony. We had a truly wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for more. The place was absolutely spotless, with everything impeccably clean and well cared for. Breakfast was excellent, fresh, and generous, a perfect start to the day. The staff really made the difference: incredibly sweet, welcoming, and always happy to help, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The pool and relaxing outdoor area were a real highlight: peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The location is ideal for anyone passing through Tsitsikamma and Storms River, close to everything yet wonderfully calm. We would highly recommend this place to anyone and would happily return without hesitation.
