Split is a fabulous place to visit for couples and families alike. The little sandy Beach at Bacavec is perfect for safe swimming, sunbathing and sandcastle making! The old town has dozens of little streets full of cafés restaurants, shops, bars and ice cream parlours. There is a wealth of historic sites to see, not to mention the super yachts in the marina. The majority of restaurants where we dined were very reasonably priced, as were the Ubers that we used several times. The old town is an extraordinary place, a must-visit. You can also take the lift up on the surrounding mountain for an astonishing view. Also of course the beaches of Adriatic sea are marvelous. Very nice city, with wonderful old town and nice beaches. The restaurants are good as well, and anybody can find something to pass the time. The nightlife is very active, there are many oppurtinites to have a party. Who is looking for a more quiet holiday, they should consider book their aparment away from the city center. The beaches are good but sometimes overcrowded. If you plan to visit other places in Istria, Porec is a good "home base". Everything is 50-70km away.Guest review byÁdámHungary - 8.0

Good restaurants in The Old Town. Kind people everywhere, good prices, funny city traffic with Balkan rules, but no one was rude, no claksons. The biggest negative is waste everywhere in the streets - bottles, cigarettes, papers, plastic bags, old tree branches, leafs.. It´s a pitty because I thing Ulcing is nice town with its special atmosphere and keeping it clean would raise interest of it. City beach is i a one word just horrible. One of the best town in Istria peninsula, Italian is the common language around, perfect size, clean cobble stones, tons of good quality restaurants and cafes. Smaller yet compact old city center where you will find everything you need just in few steps. Big grocery store just next to the bus station, big outdoor market place, fish market, promedande, countless number of restaurants, public transport and several beaches.
