In the Barossa Valley, Australia's oldest and best known wine region, this resort offers a heated pool, fitness center and tennis courts. We liked the location, and have good view of the winery from the balcony. The restaurant is nice, even the food from room service is good enough.

We had a beautiful stay in Tanunda thanks to Trina. The cottages are just gorgeous, in a great location that is walking distance from the town. What a treasure this place is! It was by far the most charming and pleasant place we stayed on our last trip to Australia. All 4 of us loved it and found the proprietress so gracious and helpful too. It's a lovely rural setting in the wine country of the Barossa Valley, just a few minutes from the more developed town centers but so very relaxing. The cottages are beautifully appointed and the warm tasty bread and wine were an added treat. The resident chickens who visited us upon our arrival were a big hit too....

Barossa House is warm and inviting with beautiful fireplaces in the living room and dining rooms. It is situated perfectly...near the town of Tanunda (walking distance if you are interested) and incredibly close to top notch vineyards. Sophia and Leo are not only wonderful hosts but have a wealth of information about all of the vineyards and offered great suggestions for us to help maximize our time and interests. We knew it was a bead and breakfast but, believe me, it is no ordinary breakfast. Amazing breakfast dishes and various coffees and teas. We are definitely going back!! The room was perfectly comfortable and we had plenty of room.

We were pleased with the undercover parking as it was pouring rain for our visit. Little touches like the free day's paper, electric blankets, little biscuits with our complimentary tea and coffee were appreciated. With the low price of $99 per night, all of our needs were catered for, with the added bonus of being very close to many of the famous Barossa wineries and towns. Great base of operations for a holiday.
