We stayed in Katherine for one night at Gorge View, had a meal of crocodile and Barramundi at the Katherine Club on O'shea Terrace, next morning went to the Katherine Outback Experience which we thoroughly enjoyed and had lunch at the New Shanghai restaurant. Only regret is that we didn't visit the Katherine School of the Air.Guest review byRowland - 8.0

Go to Yellow Water Billalong, Ubirr and Nourlangie and definitely visit the waterfalls while you are here. If you don't have a 4WD, book an all day tour and they can take you. We are dinner at the Mercure restaurant. We had breakfast in Jabiru township.Guest review byMichelle CassieAustralia - 10.0

Fantastic staff at the visitor information centre who were able to get me booked onto a Nitmulik Gorge Tour for the next morning. An absolutely beautiful space with amazing tour guide, Casey I think 🤔🙂Guest review byMichele - 10.0

This is a very small spot in the middle of the jungle. Little market provides some basis food and clothes but one should not rely on it for its supplies. Good place to stop while visiting Kakadu park. Well positioned to visit all sites. Walking distance to Bowali visitors center.Guest review byAnnaBelgium - 2.0

It was a room (upstairs) with a bed and a fridge but not much else. The shower's taps were a feet level with nothing to hold on to when stepping in. The plastic plant on the bedside table just took up space. The restaurant was very different - it was welcoming, clean and the food was very nice. We only stayed one night.Guest review byLorraineAustralia - 10.0

Jabiru is a small town in the heart of Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory. It’s a perfect base for exploring the park’s stunning landscapes, Aboriginal rock art, and diverse wildlife. Highlights include Nourlangie Rock, Yellow Water Billabong cruises, and scenic flights over Kakadu. The Bowali Visitor Centre offers great cultural and ecological insights. Accommodation ranges from eco-lodges to resorts, and local eateries serve simple but hearty meals. Best visited during the dry season (May–October) for easier access and cooler weather.Guest review byDexterH71Australia
