Truly a 10/10 resort experience. The resort itself is magnificent from the showers, to the private pool, to the indoor/outdoor fountains and flowers around your villa. The beds in the villas were extremely comfortable, the closets and amenities were very large, and the showers were extremely comfortable. We spent the majority of our time in the Villa just because of how magnificent it was. I would recommend anyone staying in Port Douglas to stay here, its the nicest resort I stayed in in my life and I was able to stay for $100 USD per night split across 5 people.

I stayed here for a week.The staff Zaa and Emily were exceptionally helpful in booking the different attractions and actually helping me to arrange my schedule. Zaa helped me to switch attractions last minute so that I didn't miss anything. It takes about 15 minutes to get to town and it's very hot, I rented a bicycle which helped a lot. There was no luxury in the property but there is a lovely pool, and free laundry facilities. Great value for money.

Location was great- very close to downtown, right next to the beach. Very convenient. Also, it has a one lane swimming pool and we are swimmers, so also very convenient for a swim where we did not have to worry about stingers. Manager was lovely, helped to take our bags up and down the stairs when we arrived and left. Just a few small maintenance issues, nothing major. Overall, very comfortable 2 bedroom with 2 ensuites.

VERY FRIENDLY host/staff and accomodating. Made friends along the stay which was wee bit too short for us. Very comfortable area. One of the Highlights of our stay was the beautiful peacock that made us doesnt feel like we’re in Australia. Would love to stay there again when there’s an event happening.

Been to Port Douglas many times we could never get sick of the area, we did expect the shops & restaurants to stay open later, its very easy to walk around to see most things in Port Douglas .
The Court House Hotel is the place to go Great food, Live music every night , drinks are reasonably priced, staff are amaxing.

We love Mossman as a quick stay on our way to the Daintree. The Woolies is great to re stock, we had pies from the lovely organic dough pie shop and were excited to be traveling through on a Saturday as Mossman markets are one of our favorites (and we’ve visited a few!)

Cottonwood is like an estate all to yourself, well- and fully-appointed, in close proximity to Port Douglas, Mossman, Daintree & the rainforest. More than enough amenities. It might be considered "expensive" by some but not by us, not for what you get for your money. Amenities? It does not lack any and actually exceeds what most would consider "more-than-enough", much less "the basics". And the Hosts are just that, to a tee: Helpful beforehand and during our stay. Thank you very much.

We love Port Douglas for a shirt getaway from Cairns.
We love Port Douglas for a shirt getaway from Cairns. It has a lovely beach for walking, a great array of cafes and restaurants, Fresca and Bam Pow are fantastic and some nice boutiques. Check out Sea Gallery and Splish Splash. You have to do the walk around the point and watch the sunset from sugar wharf or sugar point.

Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape...
Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation than Port Douglas, but Port is a very short drive away to be able get to reef cruises and activities there.
Mossman is the old town, still with elements of 'country', check out the Exchange Hotel (there is a Woolworths on the edge of town - I wish they'd hide it behind large trees) and a regular market every Saturday (10.00 am - 1.00 pm) in the historic church grounds.
It is not overwhelmed by tourism, but the surrounding areas have B&B and accommodation options.
Mossman Gorge is an amazing upland rainforest experience.
You get one of the mini-busses from the Visitor Info Centre (every 15 mins until 5.30 pm) This takes you to the walking trail. The first part is boardwalk, then an easy bush trail in a circuit.
The forest is spectacular, very relaxing to see & hear the water of the Mossman River. Sit on the seating or a rock near the trail and wonder at the profusion of life that fills every space.
TIP: Take a towel & wear swimmers, as there is a rock pool about 2/3 of or the way along the bush trail with clear fresh water, safe to wade & cool off in.

Plenty of breakfast and dinner options, good shopping stores. Nice walks along the beach. Plenty of activities for the whole family, must have car for commuting. Bring an umbrella or rain coat in the wet season, be croc wise

Goodies Cafe is a nice place to have a snack or lunch. Owners and Staff are pleasant and friendly and the food is good too.
