Whether you want to can relax by one of the resorts 6 lagoon-style pools or explore the world-famous Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest, Silkari Lagoons Port Douglas is the place for you. Very large room apartment (deluxe one bedroom), large balcony, comfortable beds, laundry in the unit, multiple ac units, many pools so they were not crowded, well stocked kitchen for cooking and exceptional value overall. We ended up rearranging our plans to extend our stay here. At first we regretted not booking a swim out, however, there was much more privacy being on the top floor and I would book the deluxe apartment without swim out again over a swim out.

Loved the Resturants but they were a little pricey! Dinner at salsa was amazing! Entrees were as big as mains! Lots of coffee places to choose from. The local gym under Coles is also great. The town was also close to extra activities like white water rafting, river drifting, snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree forest.
I like the port for the boat to the reef was close by. The town was clean and there were good selections of places to eat. I enjoyed having a good grocery to stock up for breakfast foods. I don't remember the names of the places we ate. One was an Iris pub food was good and not too expensive. We also ate at an Italian place. Food was good but more pricey. We also ate at a place where the outside was covered in tin. There the food was so expensive we ordered starters only. The starters were good though. I liked the beautiful view on top of the little hill next to town. We had a car so it was easy to get to top. The town was easy driving distance to National parks.
We loved going for a day trip to Low Isles on Wavedancer. The provided lunch was adequate, time on the island was just enough, the snorkelling was brilliant (turtles feeding, fish and black tipped reef sharks, as well as many varieties of coral looking healthy to keep it interesting) and the performer on the way home created the correct vibe for the best day out! Always spectacular to go up to the lookout to take a photo of the stretch of beach. If you have enough time to do the longer walk at Mossman Gorge then ensure you do it to soak up some of the pristine rainforest. The shorter walk was just a little too 'commercialised' for us. The Wildlife Park night tour was well worth the time and money. Many more animals were foraging at night and the personalised tour allowed us to learn much more about the variety of animals. Beware not to stay too far away if you don't have your own transport. Can be a long way from Seven Mile Beach to the Marina in the heat.
It was absolutely beautiful you felt like you were really in Paradise the views were gorgeous villa was amazing & the pools were beautiful. I highly recommend this resort to go as a couple or with your family the kids would love the pools. Staff were very friendly & helpful so many things to do highly recommend for anyone to book a with Daintree tours absolutely amazing & breathtaking 😄
Stunning!! Great variety of shops, beaches are beautiful. Very humid, takes a few days to adjust. So much to see and do. A little pricey for regular items. Restaurants are great value for money. We have been three times now and love it more n more.
If you like nature - birds, snorkeling on the reef, the incredible rainforest with all it's wonders - then this is a great place to visit. It is very hot and humid here so be prepared (32 C daily). This is a tropical ocean side destination. Taking in a water activity helps immensely to stay cool. An excursion to the outer Great Barrier Reef will leave you spellbound. I also loved our trips into the Daintree rainforest as it was such a magical place. The birds in Port Douglas were prolific and ruckus - there's a party going on in the trees every morning and evening. I loved it. There are also many opportunities to go reef fishing which is fun if you like to fish.
Port Douglas
Hotel staff was super friendly and helpful, giving us loads of options for restaurants and tours to book in advance. This hotel provides everything anyone could possibly need to enjoy a beach vacation, and more! Free coolers, beach chairs, beach towels, games, toys, even bikes! Room was one of the cleanest we've ever stayed, and the bed was very comfortable. Amenities were thoughtfully provided and linens were great. Location was perfect - easy walk to lots of shops and restaurants, very close to the beach.
Port Douglas
Reception staff were very friendly and provided lots of information about where to eat and activities to do. Handy...yes, but not sure how useful this is in reality. Friends who had travelled to Port Douglas previously had warned us to secure dinner bookings well in advance of the trip as places book out extremely quickly, especially during peak seasons. We stayed in a ground floor room with pool access. Pools are great. Good size and nice temp. We also didn't find them overcrowded with people.
Port Douglas
Stayed here for my sister‘s 60th birthday with the family we had a top floor three bedroom apartment. It was fantastic, location was great, amenities excellent, the kitchen had everything we needed, it was lovely to sit outside on either one of the two balconies to have a drink. The beds were comfortable, and having two bathrooms was great. I would highly recommend the White House to anyone who is wanting a lovely place to stay in Port Douglas in a brilliant location, we will definitely be back.
Port Douglas
Beyond expectations - beautiful like a little villa on Bali. Massive rooms that have a private outdoor sitting area and shower, a mini kitchen, king bed, and big lounge area. Beautifully kept landscaping across the resort, large pool, honesty bar, and only a 15 minute walk into town. Also has gated parking. Such good value, and staff were very nice and accommodating. Will definitely stay here if we are ever in port Douglas again.
Port Douglas
Location of the hotel was perfect right in the middle of Port Douglas within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. Plenty of space for us to park our rental vehicle. Our room was just the right size with a nie outdoor area overlooking the pool. Lynn and Robert were lovely hosts and great advocates for Port Douglas giving us lots of ideas of things to see and do.

The room was nice and cool - very refreshing coming in from the heat. The hot tub and walk out access to the pool was really luxurious and provided a great vibe. Bathroom was really large. The pool was nice. Bed and pillows were really comfortable. The fragrances in the hotel were great and the room smelled refreshing.

Port Douglas
A lovely central location where our room was a private oasis. Although Port Douglas was a hive of activity, you could not hear any of the street noise from the apartment or the relaxing day bed on the enclosed verandah.
