Port Douglas is a beautiful sleepy coastal town that is spotlessly clean, tropical, and well-positioned to visit the reef and other attractions in the area. We could have stayed a week just kicking back and relaxing in this beautiful town, enjoying many cafes, bars, and pubs. I'd highly recommend visiting this beautiful part of Queensland.

A quaint and picturesque town, with an abundance of live music, good restaurants and coffee shops. The walk over Flagstaff Hill is tough in places but well worth the effort. Plenty to do, or just as easily relax.

    The seafood restuarants are magnificent.

The seafood restuarants are magnificent. Excellent food at very affordable prices. This place is alike a miniature Noosa or a micro Gold Coast without all the hype and commerciality. A great place to bring a family - relax as well as a have a great time with lots to see and do. Don't miss the Sunday morning markets in the park - very worth a visit with local and aboriginal artists selling their orginal work (nothing made in China here).

My partner and I, we stayed in a Swimout hotel room for 3 nights, and we absolutely loved everything about our stay. The room was clean and well presented. The highlight was direct access to 1 of the 6 lagoon-style swimming pools from our private balcony or patio. Parking was accessible to just outside our room. Room was equipped with a mini fridge, microwave and a small sink. Not too far from Port Douglas town. Very convenient 👌 😊. We will definitely go back here.

Staff was excellent, very helpful with whatever we needed. I forgot a bag with souvenirs when we checked out and they arranged for a friend who was an Uber driver to drop them at our hotel in Cairns. The place was very cute and spotless and had everything we needed. They even have bikes, beach chairs, floats, umbrellas, etc. to use for free. Had a well stocked kitchen and was only 1/2 block from a beautiful beach as well!

Perfect spot to explore Port Douglas and beyond. Exceptionally comfortable, well appointed with a full size kitchen, plus jumping in the pool after a long day was perfect. Loved the location, quiet but a very easy walk into town or to Four Mile Beach, especially compared to being in one of the resorts. Free parking on site and lots of info about things to see and do in the area. Would recommend and definitely stay again!

A great place to stay if you don't mind being at Craiglie, about 6kms from Port Douglas. There is no public transport into PD from the resort although you can book a shuttle service. A great pool with a Tiki Bar which was open from 4 Weds thru Sun. Tennis court as well. Comfy beds, great shower & washing machine & dryer if you've been up in the Daintree & need to do laundry. Kitchen facilities were great

The pools are amazing, the ability to order from your sun bed with QR code was great, and the new Asian fusion restaurant that recently opened at the hotel was exceptional, the breakfast especially. The swim-up bar was everything you'd expect it to be and more. Great location if you don't mind a 25min walk into town. Buses into town available on demand made it easy if not wanting to walk or in a rush.

The Newport on Macrossan is located on the Main Street in Port Douglas surrounded by great restaurants and shops. Pat was friendly and attentive and went above and beyond to help us out after my son left his glasses behind. Our room was quiet at night. The pool and seating area were lovely during the hot days. The apartment was stocked with all that we needed. I'd definitely stay there again.

The property was very neat and well-maintained, clean, and had friendly staff who were willing to accommodate requests wherever they could. The location is ideal for visiting Port Douglas, and the owners kindly offered our car to stay in the carpark after checkout, so we could explore a very busy Port Douglas for the day.

Martinique is a great place to stay. It is within walking distance to every where in Port Douglas. It is very close to Four Mile beach and you can hear the sea at night. Our unit was spacious, very clean, and had a lovely sea breeze. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

This was our third time to Port Douglas, and we had always previously stayed in resorts. This was SOOO much better because it was so central and we had so much more space to spread out and really relax. 7 days in a hotel type room can be testing with 2 kids. Everything we needed was there!

The Lagoon pool, gardens and swim out is fantastic. We have stayed at this resort before and this is why we returned. On our previous trip we stayed in a hotel room and it was spotless and comfortable. This time I mistakenly booked a privately owned apartment.

Ramada was in a good location but you would need a car to access the main part of port Douglas and the part of four mile beach you can swim at. Staff were friendly. The hotel has a really tranquil setting feels like you are in a rainforest.
