Cairns is a cosmopolitan and eclectic mix. A full on hive of activity early til late. Night Market, Rusty’s Produce Market and multiple shopping centres across a large well spaced city. All within easy travel distances to Kuranda, Port Douglas, Northern Beaches, the reef and the remote northern limits of civilisation of the Cape. A beautiful lush landscape Can’t wait to visit again

    Plenty to do.

Plenty to do. Snorkelling and diving in the Great Barrier Reef. Visiting the vast rainforest. Rafting or tubing in the river. Bungy jumping or giant swing at the Skypark. Jet ski on the river and/or sea. Several freshwater lakes and waterfalls to visit and swim in. Paronella Park (1.5 hour drive away). Several nature parks and gardens to visit. Plenty of good restaurants in the city.

I went to Cairns for one thing - the Armour and Artillery Museum. A World class collection of heavy military equipment. Outstanding. Cairns is beautiful and casual. But it was HUMID in December. It really was killing. There is a reason it was the off-season.

The hotel is located at the main street, there are many stores and restaurants around, walking distance to the city pool and the sea. The manager is very friendly and helpful, shared some tips about Cairns and if needed will help to manage organized trips. Rooms are big and specious, every 2 days room there was housekeeping service. We booked this hotel as we knew we will be travelling around and just coming back to sleep, if you plan to stay in the hotel during the day, this hotel doesn't have a pool and breakfast.

We were met by Jackie and shown to the apartment. She took time to show us everything. A great studio apartment that was exceptionally clean and well equipped for any level of self catering if needed. The Nespresso machine was an added bonus. Located just minutes from Cairns Central shopping centre and the Cairns railway station. An easy ten to fifteen minute walk and we were on the waterfront where there are lots of great restaurants. Perfect accommodation we will definitely use again. Thanks Jackie

Superb room and bathroom, all modern, well maintained and clean, hotel is right next to the marina and the lagoon / esplanade But highlight is undoubtedly the friendly family team running the hotel. The manager Peter couldn’t have done any more to make my stay more enjoyable - from a fuss-free early check-in, to booking all my planned activities for me (at a discount - including a scuba trip to the Great Barrier Reef). Thanks again for a fantastic stay - nowhere else I would book in Cairns.

Super clean room, and the friendly, attentive staff impressed me right off the bat. The hotel was located within walking distance of all the Cairns attractions that I visited. The kitchen had everything I needed during my stay. The beautiful pool was clean and serene, and it never had more than a couple people in it at a time. I extended my stay here twice! Also, the manager accomodated a late checkout without hesitation. Would stay here again if I return to Cairns.

The rooms are amazing- really big bed, big walk in rain shower, smart TV, very modern as a whole. It’s a 10 minute walk to the Esplanade and there’s lots of great restaurants around there and nearby. It’s a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport. We really loved our stay here and wished it were longer! There’s also a small pool within the hotel.

Wonderful location and great views from our 9th floor room. We were also impressed with the fact that there were 3 laundries and even a post box. The esplanade with its many restaurants was nearby as was Woolworths, which was just around the corner. When next we are in Cairns, we hope to stay at this hotel again.
