We only had one full day in Winnipeg, so there is much more of this welcoming city to see. We spent most of our time in the Forks area. We visited the Human Rights Museum. Very emotional, but we appreciate admitting to past mistakes and working to correct them instead of pretending they were never made. It was a beautiful July day. Other than the museum we spent the entire time outdoors. Everyone we met was friendly.Guest review byDunning - 10.0

Brandon has at least one of everything you need except I couldn't find a restaurant with duck on the menu and believe me I looked thoroughly. Found lots of nice places to eat though and great hospitality and very safe and multicultural mid sized city. I recommend coming up if you're in the area.Guest review byGeorgeCanada - 10.0
What a treasure of a town on the edge of the boreal forest...
What a treasure of a town on the edge of the boreal forest and the Canadian Tundra. We received a warm welcome from natives and imports who all worked together to make our stay memorable. This is the perfect adventure for solo female travellers - a very small and safe town with unique sights and adventures. With weather appropriate clothing you can be out and about every day. Dress in layers and be prepared for heat, or cold winds, rain or sun - all in one day!! The food at most of the restaurants exceeded our expectations. We had dinner at a different place for days....special shout out to the Tundra Pub!Guest review bySharon SimonCanada - 10.0
Steinbach is a cute clean and homey little town!
Steinbach is a cute clean and homey little town! With many family businesses in the area it makes it a wonderful place to shop and enjoy. There are many different things to do as a family and enjoy in the Steinbach area. We enjoyed delicious lunches, coffee that was delectable, Unger meats for all our grilling desires, strawberry picking as a family, the beautiful aquatic centre and even a wonderful round of golf! I’m sure there is much more that we could explore and we can’t wait to come back and do just that!!Guest review byKieraCanada - 8.0

Dauphin is a fairly compact town and it is easy to get anywhere from anywhere else in town in less than ten minutes. There are a few attractions in town such as Fort Dauphin Museum, the Railway Museum. The restaurant scene has a few chains (McDonald’s, Tim Hortons, Mr Mike’s) as well as locally owned places like Adelina’s Pizza, Corinna’s) plus a craft beer tap room (Obsolete Brewery). There is one movie theatre that is community owned and is very modern. The downside? Most businesses, including most non chain restaurants are closed on Mondays.Guest review byEd - 8.0

The room that I thought I should have been given, was not , until, I said that I had upgraded the room. The room that was given next, had a queen size bed, instead of King. The TV had sound issues. The balcony was not cleaned after the previous guests. The sheets were larger than the bed. The temperature control, did very little to adjust the temperature.Guest review byOscar - 10.0

For some of the places I had hoped to visit, one needs a car. I did not rent a car and the private hire cars like Uber and Lyft did not go to one of the places I had hoped to visit. There were no tours to that place available. So I suggest that if you are travelling in by plane or train, that you rent a car for the places further out from Winnipeg.Guest review bymaria.lingCanada - 10.0

Loved the Northern Lights and the Churchill murals on buildings all over town. Tours we did take were excellent and well described. We were there in the wrong season for polar bears, Northern Lights were excellent. Take the time to visit the museums in town, they show great history of Churchill. Go for a walk around town. Be prepared for a small town atmosphere and very friendly people.Guest review byBrianCanada
