For a small town it has enough restaurants, stores and shops...
For a small town it has enough restaurants, stores and shops. It's big draw is the outdoor recreation: skiing, hiking and mountain biking. Still feels somewhat undiscovered, and priced accordingly. It is right across the U.S border so very accessible from Eastern WA (Northport border crossing is open 24 hours and rarely busy). In sum, it is a value-priced and quiet get-away spot.Guest review byPaul NUnited States - 10.0
Rossland, located just a few minutes from Red Mountain...
Rossland, located just a few minutes from Red Mountain Resort, is a cute historic mining town. Many of the turn of the century buildings are maintained and in use. Only a handful of restaurantes, but all are good. It is a fairly small mountain community with all services one would need. We stayed 4 nights and felt it was about the right length of visit, but could certainly enjoy longer.Guest review byTerryUnited States - 10.0
Rossland, BC is a quaint small town with hundreds of hiking/...
Rossland, BC is a quaint small town with hundreds of hiking/biking opportunities at the edge of town. This small town is higher up in the hills above the Columbia River and leaves crowded scene around Trail and the river area behind. We tried several restaurants in town, the Flying Steamshovel (interesting menu family dinning), and Gabriella's with another great menu and very slightly upscaple (no fancy clothes required). People pop out onto the crosswalks without notice (and without looking) so be careful driving and slow down. Rossland, BC is close to Red Mountain ski resort and not far from the US border (11 km) north of Spokane, WA.Guest review byDavidUnited States
