Loooved this place. Honestly I hadn’t stayed in a hotel that’s more hostel style since my early 20s but this place had good privacy, the price range was within our budget and the location was really good. I loved the entire experience. Enjoyed the sauna and thought it was really fun that you could change the mood of your bedroom with the light setup, the lockers are free so we got there early and managed to explore the city without having to carry our backpacks. The fact that you can do absolutely everything from checking in and getting a locker to getting a beer at the bar with the bracelet is sooo practical and cool. The bathrooms had enough space to not feel like it’s too crowded and the bed was very comfy. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend.

This is the perfect place to stay for any trip to Copenhagen. We opted for the apartment and were pleasantly surprised by the super comfortable, spacious room we got for our 4-night stay, complete with a well-equipped kitchen. The apartment was cleaned daily, which was a delightful bonus. Kanalhuset organizes social dinners every night, offering the chance to enjoy a delicious meal in great company and meet some locals. The location is wonderful, just a 15-minute walk from the famous colorful houses and only a couple of metro stations away from other charming neighborhoods. The restaurant is cozy and well-organized, providing a conducive environment for work, almost like a nice coworking space. The coffee was also excellent!

A nice and comfortable hotel, with convenient free parking. Easy to come by car but also convenient for exploring the city on foot as there is good connection to the centre with the S-tog commuter train. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Easy to access by train and/or bus. The service was super friendly and always available in case that you may have questions. Big buffet at breakfast with a huge dining hall. Wonderfully unique hotel just a short walk away from the beach. In Danish style but not minimalist, rather more decorated. Very cosy and in great condition. Museums are wonderful. There are so many. All excellent. There is something for everyone. Download the Rejsekort application. It works on buses, metro, light rail, harbour boats, S Tog and mainline trains. it makes travelling so so easy. Please make sure that you have a valid ticket when travelling. The system works on trust as there are no ticket barriers. If you don't have a valid ticket when travelling it can be expensive. Copenhagen can be also expensive eating and drinking out but I think it's worth it. Smorebrod is usually consumed at lunch time and there quite a few that specialise in that only. Christians Town has some excellent traditional ones. Some traditional restaurants have a sort of limited fixed menu ie fish or meat which are usually cheaper. The local beers are also good.

Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen.

Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen. I don't know that I'd have ever thought to go there but my son decided to get married there. It was an ideal meeting place for both families as his wife is from Germany. There are lots of lovely shops and restaurants and the ferry to Sweden is super easy to catch. We enjoyed our short stay. :)

It dark in these time of the year, but it is a great and green place. Friendly people and possibly nice path for recreations. I were business there though. I would say the staff in the 7 eleven at the station I do like the best, however at late card terminal may not be operation. Feeling safe.

A city famous for its castle. Otherwise, classic countryside, from the point of view of gastronomy, nothing that would in any way stand out above the Danish standard. Bad taxi service, quite problematic for those who don't come by car.

Very clean, newly renovated, quiet. The room well appointed. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is in a small shopping area with a supermarket,small restaurants and every convenience very close. It’s a bit out of the city centre, so maybe not ideal if you are sightseeing in Copenhagen, but it’s on a bus line. My only small gripe- the pillows were small and we could have used two each and the winter bedcovers were too warm for June. Otherwise a great hotel where we will definitely stay again.

The hotel is clean and very close to the train station so,...

The hotel is clean and very close to the train station so, it was very easy to get to central station which gives you access to all the trains that will get you to where you want to go. You can catch a train direct from the airport to Tastrup train station and walk less than 5 minutes to the hotel.

I just need at quiet place to rest, wasn't on sightseeing... I'm not specifically interested in Ballerup at this moment... And therefore it was a bit annoying that the house was so noisy - late at night as well as early morning... The staircase especially was making a lot of noise.. It made me feel nervous that somebody was coming down to me - a lot of times...( I was in basement! ) I couldn't open a window either, just the door if I wanted some fresh air, and that wasn't very nice either... The room (s) were too big and 'spread out' in different 'sections', and that wasn't cozy in my eyes...There wasn't a 'night-lamp' near the bed that worked, only a lot of spot lights in the ceiling... Not that cozy even if the volume could be turned down... The man of the house seemed very nice, I met him on the way to the house, - as I was asking for advice concerning some road-maintenance obstacles that were in my way to get to the house. So they are most likely were nice people ... But I guess a big part of my disapointment comes from the fact that this stay was more expensive than a night in Hotel Zleep - also in Ballerup, 3 weeks ago...There I had a quiet room, no sound from the building, view to a lake, nice bed, a window I could open, GREAT BREAKFAST INCLUDED, everything clean and everything easy and flexible in terms of checking in and out etc. Much easier and more comfortable for me... So I will chose that next time...

Beautiful and elegant hotel with great service and excellent location! Loved walking around the cobblestone pedestrian walkway for shopping and the wonderful array of cafes and eateries. The museums and palaces were just amazing and worth a visit!

Historic buildings extremely interesting, nice architectural design of the town, close location to many potential places worth sightseeing. A little bit too poor availability of restaurants, in particular on weekends. Very unfortunate system of payment for parking lots in town, complicated in operation and not always working. Personally I was very displeased with necessity to install mobile apps.

Nice hotel, nice rooms and friendly people at the reception. Great breakfast ! The hotel is located very near to the trainstation which is a big advantage if you want to travel by public transport. We had a very nice stay here !
