The vibe, views, decor, comfort, room amenities, restaurant, shared space. The staff was excellent, always available and went above and beyond to help. Excellent wine and food as well. Clean as comfortable room with nice bathrooms and plenty of amenities. Parking on site was easy and the area is safe and quiet. Amazing views of wildlife right out front and the charms of the horseman strolling by.

The room was large, beautifully remodeled (in a historic building), quiet, and spotlessly clean. The staff (Lucía, Asunción, Virginia, and Javier) were extremely friendly, helpful, and generous. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade pastries and cakes, including an especially fabulous tarta de queso. We had dinner in the hotel one night, and Asunción's cuisine was wonderful. (Dinner is not available every night.)

Very nice hotel. We stayed here for one additional night. Parking is for free next to the hotel. The village is a fantastic discovery - horses are everywhere on the streets, the houses look like something from a Western movie and the local people are very friendly. It feels like traveling back in time with a time capsule. The ocean is just 20 minutes away by car. The weather here in the evenings is very pleasant, around 23°C - breezy and cozy, probably thanks to the ocean. Definitely will come back next year.

The area along the Odiel River is nice to walk and has restaurants and places to sit and enjoy the view. The city would be great by bicycle. The Mercado is the place to go for fish, meat and fresh produce. Restaurants were a bit of a hit and miss during our trip, so we recommend doing some research (and don't trust the online pictures posted by the establishments). You definitely need some form of transport if you want to see a fair amount.

We sent in September and you can tell a lot of businesses can shut after the holiday period , we also saw restaurant were very few or almost no one in them. Punta Umbria itself is ok, a little rough around the edges. The beach is lovely, We found further down the coast towns like El Rompido to be nicer looking and cleaner.

If you want a nice relaxing quiet stay don't go to this hotel it's noisy entertainment right outside the majority of rooms Had to put ear plugs in and close all doors and curtains. Couldn't enjoy sitting on terrace with a chillout wine and watch the sun set !!! If you want waiter service at the bar terrace think again...it's non existant and you have to queue at the bar to get a drink....Unheard of in all the hotels we've stayed in. They cut the staff levels to a bare minimum and we got the impression that everything was skimped on to save money.

Its a 'one off' - we have travelled all over the world and its in our top 5 as its totally unique and a living time capsule. Brilliant and a definite location to put on anyone's 'BUCKET LIST' and to let your imagination run riot from the Conquistadors to the founding of the America's and the role Religion played. All with a focus on this unique area and the huge significance of the 'equine' industry to create an empire.

From start to finish the staff made us so welcome. The hotel experience was amazing with so many facilities and things to do. The rooms were beautifully decorated. The reception was amazing and smelt devine! The entertainment team were brilliant. The shows were so good and they always took an interest in making everyone feel part of the group if they wanted. I can’t wait to return next year!

As stated, having stayed there even solo in the past, was a bit disappointed that the twin room was so tight. Fantastic staff more than compensated but I think as a former client, a little bit of speciality would have gone a long way. Still LOVE the place, so special.
