Location is adequate, as it is around a 10-15 min walk from the city center, but that's completely manageable if the weather permits. Crossing the bridge was always a very pleasant journey. The hotel has so much history and artistry, I sincerely urge the Hotel Manager to put up more pamplets or signs in order to help guests to better understand the historical value of the hotel and how much heart it took to completing it! The staffs were extremely helpful and passionate, I couldn't have asked for a better hotel experience. Can't wait to be back!

Location close both to the train station and to the center attractions. The reception staff was amazing. We got a lot of great recommendations. FAQs about hotels in Alsace

A Mouthful of History, Architecture and Food

One of the most important regions in the European Union because of its number of international organisations, Alsace is also the smallest region in mainland France. Stretched along the upper Rhine, this is an area of tumultuous history, great architecture and distinctive cuisine.

The Alsace capital, Strasbourg, features one of the most beautiful European cathedrals and a very photogenic Old Town with cobbled streets and half-timbered townhouses. You can find picturesque castles, villages and churches all around this petite region.

But Alsace is not just known for its man-made structures. It also boasts the low, densely forested Vosges Mountains with glacial lakes, great hiking trails and charming waterfalls. Not to mention its vineyards and the famous Alsatian Vineyard Route, stretching from Wissembourg to Thann and incorporating 67 towns and villages.

A visit to the region wouldn’t be complete without trying some of the famous Alsatian cuisine. Said to be the birthplace of sauerkraut, this is one of the best places to try tarte flambée, a delicious creation of onion, bacon and crème fraiche.

Whether you opt for one of the hotels de charme in Alsace, a stylish apartment or a friendly B&B, Booking.com has a great range on offer 24/7!

Every thing! We went for a spa weekend with our french bulldog (which sleeps a lot) and everything was perfect. The room was comfortable with enough space to walk around, the bathroom was very warm. This room was a little outdated but very charming. The spa facilities are definitely high standards, 2 different sauna, a hamman, a pool with jacuzzi space, everything is made to relax. The restaurant was also great, food was qualitative and servings a good size. The staff were very nice, helpful and friendly. Special ++ for the delicious easter cake on the door step on the Sunday morning!

The room was small but cozy, clean and equipped with everything we needed. The breakfast had the best French Toast I've had in a long time, the lunch buffet was very tasty (and healthy!). The Yonaguni SPA is really a next level experience, I was a bit sceptical at the start but it exceeded my expectations - very large, with so many things to explore. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience!

We have loved to spend our weekend in Colmar: a beautiful city with lots to see and enjoy. The Little Venice is a must have in our list of todos, but the same could be said for lots of other historical corners and monuments. The food is pretty good and in particular I would suggest to have the tarte flambée/flammkuchen: it's just delicious.

Eguisheim is one of several quaint, fairy tale villages in Alsace. It's smaller than most of the others but that's what I liked about it. A few very good restaurants. Timothy's brewery owned by a couple with French and American ties, great folks and great beer - a must-visit. Village was laid out back in the day in a circular manner with two "ramparts", fun to just stroll around the outskirts, particularly in the evenings after the crowds have left. You won't find any lively nightlife if that's what you're after but that's ok by me.

I had a very pleasant stay in Saint-Louis.

I had a very pleasant stay in Saint-Louis. The apartment on Rue de Michelfelden is in a quiet and convenient area, very close to the Swiss border and Basel, which makes it perfect for travelers visiting the tri-country region of France, Switzerland, and Germany. The neighborhood is peaceful and well located, with supermarkets, bakeries, and transport nearby. Saint-Louis itself is a charming town in Alsace, known for its excellent location near Basel and the EuroAirport, making it easy to travel around the region. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well organized, ideal for a short stay. Check-in was smooth and everything was easy to access. Overall, it was a very convenient and pleasant place to stay, and I would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Saint-Louis or Basel.
