Overall, everything was perfect. The room was large enough, the supplies were sufficient, and the service staff were very kind and tried their best to meet all our needs during our stay. I have to mention Charlie, he is seriously the funniest person I have ever met in the UK. The hot tub should be the biggest feature of this hotel. My wife and I enjoyed it for three whole days and were very satisfied. The price/performance ratio is very good. The hotel is located in the middle of the two towns of Bowness and Windermere, and it is very convenient to walk to both towns. In any case, I will definitely recommend this hotel next time I come to the Lake District, or if my friends want to travel to the Lake District.

The hotel manager Morgan really demonstrated exemplary hospitality. He personally drove us out of a storm to the hotel when the trains shut down and the taxis in the vicinity were not in service. He also upgraded our room when the storm affected WiFi in some parts of our hotel and saw to it that we were comfortable and cosy. 10/10 hospitality, and by far the absolute best travel experiences with a Hotel we've had and could've asked for (and it isn't even close!). Choose Beech Hill Hotel and Spa if you're in the vicinity. You'll be well taken care of : )

Great location, very close to everything in Bowness easy walk. With onsight parking at the Hotel. Rooms were comfortable and the whole room and bathroom were very new and clean. Breakfast was very fulling and a great selection of hot and cold food, 5 min walk into Bowness with Beatrix Potter world at the bottom of the road or sit out on the veranda with a drink overlooking lake Windermere.

The view of the inn is superb, the bus stops to the other villages is just across the road from the inn.The staff who checked us in was so helpful & kind ,I didn't get his name but he sweetly offered & carried our heavy bag up to the room. Great location, just on the outskirts of town, but walkable. Room was a good size, bed was very comfy. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and well presented. Staff very friendly. The perfect getaway after the hustle and bustle of Christmas - and probably the quietest time of the year to enjoy The Lakes without the crowds. Check out Brysons (delicious food and very generous sized sandwiches), The Cornish pie shop (great produce and service) and Roly’s Fudge shop where you can see the creamy, crumbly fudge being made.

Windermere is a lovely village with plenty of bars and restaurants. If is also dog friendly Bowness is lovely at this time of year with lots of Bars shops and restaurants it is however very busy in the summer months Easy Breeze in bowness serves fab food as dies Tilly’s in Windermere

Lots of choice for places to eat, great welcoming pubs. Plenty of shops. You can park up and use the the local transport to get round the lakes, it very reliable and cheap. You also have access to the lake, with their many boat trips. Great local walks, you have water falls, riverside walks, stepping stones they are endless, easy access to mountain range. Something for everyone

The area is ideal for visiting the southern Lakes, the Cumbria peninsular, easy access from the M6. Spectacular views of mountains, great opportunity for outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, canoeing, running. Most attractions have restricted opening hours out of main season, so research well and you wont be disappointed. Even when there was inclement weather, there"s enough in nearby towns to occupy you. Shops, Theatres, cinema etc

Fantastic stay as a last minute decision for our family of 5 and the dog. Friendly welcome and freshly cleaned pod on arrival. Spacious enough for us all - even my 6ft4 husband slept well. Pods heated up quickly and held the heat nicely through the night. Toilets and showers were clean and had hooks on the doors for keeping clothes dry etc. We didn’t use the kitchen area but it was clean and spacious. Games room had plenty of seating and a table tennis table but no rackets or ball unfortunately. The campfire area was loved by our children in the evening. Enough parking space and close to lots of local walks and experiences. There were bikes on site that could be hired which would be a great family activity but I’m not sure on the pricing.

Good walks to Wray Castle and Claife Viewing Station...

Good walks to Wray Castle and Claife Viewing Station overlooking Windermere. Unfortunately Wray Castle was shut for renovation during our visit (Nov 2025)m but the cafe here was open for business and doing a roaring trade. Location is handy for Hill Top (Beatrix Potter) and Hawkshead where there are ample places to eat.

Excellent location for the frequent Lakeland buses which...

Excellent location for the frequent Lakeland buses which meant we could bus to one place, walk over the hills or catch a boat, and catch a different bus back. No parking worries. The Spar at the garage is very well stocked.

The Bothy was very comfortable with a lovely big bed it got nice a hot with the wood burner fire and the hot tub was amazing Rob and Sarah was very helpful and told us What we needed to know The location was very good With 2 very friendly pubs And Nice places to walk with the dog

Sawrey is two gorgeous little villages with walks and two fine inns serving food and drink. We were there out of season, so didn't have to deal with the swarms of crowds around Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's house.
