We stayed for three nights at the brand-new Sunrise Apartments in Karpathos and had a wonderful experience. We were among the very first guests, and everything felt fresh and modern, with stylish furniture and excellent facilities. The hostess, Anna, was exceptionally welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location is ideal — peaceful yet conveniently close to everything, and it offers beautiful views. Free parking is also available, making it even more convenient for those with a car. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, tranquility, and warm hospitality in Karpathos.

We had the honour to be the first tourists there. From the welcoming by our lovely host Maria till the end - it was a pleasurable stay at a perfect equipped apartment with a majestic view indeed! We are so glad we found this beautiful place in Arkasa for our small family. Our 4 yrs old boy had a fenced space to play outside, while we could enjoy quality time as a couple. The hosts were so amazing, they welcomed us personally with local goodies, wine, drinks and even homemade cake. We felt at home right away. The apartment is very private, in a great location, overlooking the coast (breathtaking sundowns!) and the town but still just walking distance to the small centre where smiley people and delicious food are everywhere. Big and furnished lounge terrace with shade, full kitchen, washer, modern bathroom with double sized shower, comfortable mattresses and a twin bed with railings for our small boy were just few of the amazing features that made our stay just perfect along with a fast internet wi-fi, big screen smart tv, a/c (we didn't need it in September). The private parking was very convenient. Nights were very quiet and allowed us to sleep very good. We even had unexpected cleanings half way of our stay and were regularly contacted to check if we needed anything. Fast and efficient communication. We couldn't be happier, 100% again!

It doesn´t happen often that I award an accomodation facility with the highest rating, but in this case I can do it with the best conscience. The studios are simply equiped, but cosy, well mantained and clean, obviously loyal to the local folk style. The balconies provide a nice view over an olive orchard with a bay in the background. The bay, hosting a beach, can be reached on foot within two minutes, other beaches can be found in the center of Lefkos, also within walking distance. Wi-fi works quite well, but sometimes gets slower. The overall positiv impression is further amplified by the landlord and his wife, and older greek married couple, providing a glimpse of the gentle hellenic spirit and hospitality. I hope to get an opportunity to come again.

I have set the exptectations for a 2 star hotel with that range of price, but the structure surpassed by a lot my expectation. The position of the hotel is PERFECT, in the center of the biggest city, and with beaches reachable easy on foot. The cleaning was good, the buffet breakfast, for a 2 star hotel, was Excellent, the room big enough with AC in the room. And the Stuff was BRILLIANT to say the least, very helpful and supportive for any kind of request. Oh, and good wi fi everywhere in the structure from the room to the hall. Free wifi by the way.

The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and spacious enough for real cooking. The terrace offers views of both the mountains and the sea, while the surrounding gardens are filled with beautiful, fragrant flowers and fruit trees. Potali Bay – just a two-minute walk away – is charming and peaceful, though not ideal for swimming, as the shifting tide easily stirs pebbles underfoot. However, there are plenty of sandy beaches nearby to choose from – some perfect for children, others for nature lovers – all within a few minutes’ drive.

This place is exceptional for vacation - we enjoyed our stay there so much! Everyone working at this hotel is so friendly and helpfull The breakfasts with the view are amazing and our room with the pool was so clean! It is a walking distance from the beach, nice authentic taverns and a cocktail bar. We will definitely choose this place again when visiting Karpathos.

Pleasantly surprised with this hotel as it is 2 stars and so my expectations were superseded. It really is great value for money. Simple but nice rooms and very clean. All you need in them. Nice balcony views. Very friendly staff. Pool is lovely and location very near to town. Overall found this an excellent stay for the price you pay and a bit of a gem.

Location great for a surfer, and even a non surfer accompanying person would be very happy. Everything very clean, food excellent, local cuisine, didnt use the pool but it looked great. Airconditioning working great, staff beyond friendly. Picked up and dropped off at the airport. Finally someone holding a sign for me at the airport 🙂

Lovely town lots of great restaurants and bars. We ate at Sophia's, Mike's, Lodokolla, Grill House Manolis & El Greco (out of town) and our favourite bar was without doubt was Cafe Pathos for the warm welcome and always service with a smile An easy town to navigate and options for boat trips available from the port.

I liked the beach.

I liked the beach. The sand is soft and the sea calm and shallow. There are few places to eat but enough for us. We had dinner usually at Calypso restaurant. The food was good ant the staff friendly. There is also a cocktail bar named Pebbles which is excellent. they offer very nice special cocktails. they have live music shows every Friday evening. the cocktails are a little expensive but the wine and beer prices ar mostly reasonable. In general Amoopi is a very quiet place. far from the crows and perfect for a relaxed vacation.

Ideal for exploring the island as we didn’t want to stay in Pigadia. We liked the fact that is was quiet but had plenty of choices if restaurants within walking distance. Great views and amazing sunsets. We ate somewhere different every night. We stayed for 6 nights. 🥰

Kyra Panagia offers stunning views, lovely beach with small stones and warm turquoise water, great food at Sophia’s Taverna, free parking, and a charming church. There are also many beautiful apartments and villas to stay at. Downsides: expensive sun beds, sometimes it can get busy, the road from Pigadia is 20 mins but quite difficult for beginner drivers, and there's only one pricey mini market.

We liked it as it was a quieter island than some of the others and we like to discover new places. We ate at Poseidon blue for dinner and breakfast both of which were great . You do need a car or bike unless you get taxis around though. Very windy though on our stay only one day of the 4 was the wind low.

Olympos is a traditional village in the northern part of Kaprathos, about 50 klms from the airport/harbour and it takes about 1:30-1:50 mins to drive there. The view from Olympos is magnificent, especially in the west part, where you can enjoy the sunset. It's very quiet and even in the hottest summer days, it's not hot!

Time has stood still in the best sense of the word in Diafani, it offers a great cafe and a family tavern (Anixi), excellent beaches and hiking opportunities are within walking distance, I cannot forget to mention the boat trip to Saria Island with Captain Manila which was the highlight of the entire stay. The holiday here could not have been better! My secret tip, swimming under cliffs behind Vananda beach!

A relatively quiet place to holiday with friendly and helpful locals, The scenery is breathtaking and the contrast between different areas of the Island is worth seeing. There are many restaurants available and the food is of a good standard.

Amoopi is a very seaside small town on a slope, about 20 minutes drive from the main port town of Karpathos Island, Pigadia. Amoopi has two of the most beautiful calm protected and organized beaches of Karpathos, great tavernas, and a variety of non package deal accommodation options. Best to have a rental car when staying there to easily access the beaches, tavernas, Karpathos port (for boat or ferry trips) and for day trips to other locations on the Island. Our absolute favorite place to eat was Dimitrios Fisherman Taverna.

Arkasa is a lovely, quiet (at least in June) town next to...

Arkasa is a lovely, quiet (at least in June) town next to one of the nicest beaches in Greece and beyond, Saint Nicholas Beach. It is a short drive from the airport and from other lovely beaches, including Lefkos and Finiki, where you can also find excellent fish and seafood restaurants. Arkasa has several nice tavernas, cafes and pastry shops to spend time in, several mini markets, and plenty of parking for visitors. You can also enjoy a beautiful sunset from here. It is about a 20-30 minute drive from the main town, Pigadia, and a shorter drive to villages like Menetes, Pyles and Othos.
