This was the best place we have stayed in Greece. Chrisa shows how real hospitality should be from heart. Everywhere in the border of the hotel is spotless clean, all the rooms are looks to the view of fantastic sea view. She welcomed us with the fruits of season like a mom prepared for his children. She eager to show you the around of city with informations. Decoration of the hotel and the rooms are mind blowing. We are realy so sad to left this beautiful hotel for our next journeys.     a very unique and comfortable boutique hotel, in front of the water. It has only 6 rooms. Rooms 4-5-6 are front line to the water. The hotel staff (around 10, I think) takes very good care of any need. The couple who own the place are also available all the time, providing support, the owner Mr., Christos personally helped us by valet parking of our car when needed.

    The water is clean and warm, and it's not crowded if you prefer a quiet and peaceful vacation. There are many beaches and places to visit, and nothing is far away. Villages in the hills are especially interesting, very picturesque with authentic architecture. The air is much fresher and not as hot as on the coast.

    Very beautiful traditional Greek mountain village with small shops (local products) and few restaurants. Difficult to find parking in the center of the village, one public parking but it's very small. Easy to make road trips around Pelion area - go around if you have a car, this is one of the most beautiful regions in Greece (also in summer, not only winter). Some part of the roads (in Pelion area, not in Portaria) were destroyed in winter 2024 during storms. Unfortunately, they were still destroyed in July 2024. You can go around by car, roads are not closed, but needs a bit attention in many places and wouldn't recommend to drive at night (dark). Time from Portaria to beach (Agios Ioannis, Papa Nero) took from us abt 40 min so take your time. To Village "Kala Nera" (nice beach, long with plenty of place in July) a bit less.

    Small village who keeps the traditional architecture . All new houses are builded with same structure. Has downtown and hill position. There is inly one market and one mini market, and one souvenir shop. But there are many restaurant and caffe shops, so you can enjoy in greek food. The bigest problem in Affissos is parking , and very rare any accommodation to have parking place. All the cars are parked even on the street ( and the street is very narrow) even on the beach waht is immediately after the vilage. Access to the sea from my accommodation was just 50 m. You can swim there if you want, but if you want to go on beach than you should walk for not more than 10 min, about 300-400 m to the Abovos beach.near by there are two more beach, but on the others the problem is parking. On Abovos you have enough parking all day. The water is warm and calm all day.

    We visited Mouresi in April when it was in full spring bloom and was low season as the high season is summer when people come to enjoy the beach. We were there to walk the ancient paths that criss-cross the peninsula between villages that date from centuries of use by the people that have lived there. It is a quaint rural area of Greece! There is not a lot of cultural sightseeing...just quaint villages and windy hairpin turn roads with the ocean and beaches, making for a laid-back vacation. We were there to hike but it would be too hot in the summer.

    We found Volos to be a very nice town. It has good walks and a fine shopping centre. It is not crowded with tourists like some other places and there are so many restaurants and cafes. People are friendly and it was so nice to see a town that kept it's Greek characteristics. Unfortunately Volos doesn't have a good flight connection from Athens and we had to hire a taxi, a bit costly but it was quite pleasant to travel in a comfortable luxury vehicle with a very friendly driver.
