The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It was a great place to come "home" to at the end of the night. The restaurant had an excellent breakfast and made special accommodations for us. The extra amenities at the river, or biking, are great ways to relax and enjoy the scenery. The town is beautiful and well worth the visit.
We arrived very late, due to our flight, and they met us graciously at the late hour. The owners greeted us each morning, we had clean towels everyday, and it is one of the best places I have ever stayed at during a vacation.

The staff is very friendly. Very convenient and close to highway but at the same time quiet. The included breakfast in the price is also very convenient and comfortable. For a transit night this is a great place. I could pay with a credit card. Clean and fresh smelling linens. We arrived after 9pm and there was no problem to check.

All the streets in the centre of town had been torn up for...
All the streets in the centre of town had been torn up for resurfacing, so it was a big construction site. I'm sure it will be nice once it's finished.
I found a pizza restaurant called Tiffany's, which was good.

The real world Rivendell (from the Lord of the rings).
The real world Rivendell (from the Lord of the rings). Thousands of small waterfalls between the houses. Very good restaurants serving locally grown trouts. Possibility of swimming in the river at the bottom of the chain of waterfalls. Plitvice is only 30 mins.

You really need several days to visit what that place has to...
You really need several days to visit what that place has to offer. Don’t miss the Spelaton center and Barać caves. We been on Barac Traill race and the organizers really do the best of them. Also don’t miss the fast food in rakovica on road by the Apartment green park with delicious burgers.

The house was clean and nicely decorated for Christmas.
The house was clean and nicely decorated for Christmas. It was well equiped with everything necessary for a barbeque. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We especially loved the gift of local delicacies of smoked sausages and cheeses. There was even homemade bread. All so delicious! We would recommend this place to friends and family for a quiet getaway!

We stayed in Grabovac as we wanted to visit Plitvice.
We stayed in Grabovac as we wanted to visit Plitvice. We booked our tickets a day before for 7am. I'm glad we went early as from 9am the park was very busy. We used entrance 2, for a longer walk (but not the longest), it was very good until we reached entrance 1 (by small ferry) which was extremely busy. I do not recommend entrance 1 as the queue for ferry was very very long. Generally avoid busy periods if you want to enjoy nature.

This town is very close to Plitvice and a great place to stay for less money than the official Plitvice hotels. There are a couple of restaurants in town, Restoran Degenija serves delicious food, a bit upscale, though not too expensive. Most of the town is on the main road to Plitvice, so there is a lot of traffic.

Honestly, there's not a lot to do.
Honestly, there's not a lot to do. There are some trails in the area that are nice, and a couple not too far out of town, and the town itself is nice to wander through. So, if you have in mind a stay that is completely relaxed, immersive, in a natural setting with GREAT VIBES all around, this is a great place to visit. We would not even know about it if we didn't just pick a place to stay for 2 days to break up our drive. But, what a stroke of GREAT FORTUNE!

We visited this area especially to see Plitivice Lakes and were overjoyed to do so. Such a beautiful place to enjoy rambling or trekking. As the lakes are over such a big area we were able to enjoy the tranquility of a couple of boat rides half the length of one of the lakes and rowing in a small boat for an hour.
Picnics or buy food at the parks restaurants .. so the queues look lengthy but moved pretty quick we didn't wait too long to catch a boat or the train back, we must have walked and boated about 8km in as many hours. Fabulous day ..
Our accommodation at Dreznik Grad was also fab and only 15 mins from the Entrance to the lakes. Unfortunately not there long enough to see anything else, would definitely return. See u next year!!

Very nice town, with beautiful centre/ though at the moment there are a lot of reconstructions of the roads in the old town, as well as on some main buildings/. Very safe place to walk around even late in the evening. Concerts nearby Zorin dom, almost every evening. Full of cafes and small restaurants;) cheap enough ☺️Very nice and helpful people!

A pear in the Balkans- I was ignorant this kind of landscape was available in Croatia. Reminded me of being in Switzerland and Germany but a very low-key vibe. The falls, the river, the national park....you haven't seen anything like it
